(In this story Kirishima has two moms and their both LGBTQ+ activists and teachers)
Kirishima's Pov:
I always showed signs that I was transgender however the earliest memory I can think of was when I was eight years old, the teacher told all the girls to go to one side of the room and for the boys to go to the other, society saw me as a girl but I went over to the boys side. The teacher asked what in the world I was doing so I said "You said for the boys to go over here so I came over here" I can't remember exactly what she said but I know she lectured me about how I was a girl and told me to go to the other side of the room.
Things like that happened for years, every time I was lectured but for some reason this was never talked about with my parents. I started dressing in boys clothes and my moms were fine with that, they just thought of clothes as something that you wear rather than something to show yourself off (Idk how to explain it but they didn't think it would effect Kirishima's life).
One day I will never forget is the day in 7th grade when my best friend Mina came up to me and asked "Hey Emiko why do you always wear boys clothes?" so I just responded "I feel way more comfortable in them, if only I could cut my hair" I said with a bit of laughter in my voice. Mina seemed a bit confused the leaned into my ear and whispered "Are you trans?" I was confused so I asked "What does trans mean" Mina still leaning into my ear said "Wow how do you not know this? It means you don't identify as the gender you were assigned at birth, most commonly people are either mtf (male to female) or ftm (female to male) but you could also be non-binary (a gender not conforming with specifically male or female)" that made more sense "ohhh, well no, I don't think I'm trans"
School went by without much social interaction on my part but Mina was talking with everybody so I doubt they even noticed me.
Time skip to at home:
I always loved seeing my moms, they always looked so happy and were so kind.
As I walked in the door I was greeted by Mama saying "Hey Emiko"
I just said "Hey Mama" in return. Then my other mom said
"Heyo Emiko" she always made me chuckle when she said that so I said
"Hiya Muma (mum-a)"
Mum then said "You should go do you homework, alright? I made you a snack while for when you do your homework"
(I want to be adopted by Kiri's moms)
"Yeah but I have a question,"
"Sure what is it sweety?"
"At school one of my friends asked if I was trans then tried to explain to me what being trans was but I'm still kinda confused. Since you and Mama are LGBTQ+ activists I thought you could help explain."
"Emiri (Mama) will you come here for a moment?" Mum yelled to Mama
"Yeah of course Kazy (Mum/Kazumi)"
-Kazumi walks to the living room where Kirishima and Emiri are-
"What did ya need Kazy?"
"Well Emiko wants to know what transgender means" my mum explains
"Ok, well to start off bla bla bla (I'm very lazy right now but if you want I can go into more detail in the comments), and bla bla bla, and that's basically all it is
Me now understanding what trans ment just said "Ok, thanks for explaining that to me" I hugged my moms as they hugged back and said it was no problem
