TW: Mention of s*xual assault, su*cide, and t*rture
1.) Holy crap 57 reads! I never thought I'd get even that many reads. Thank you so much I'm so thankful for each and every one of you lovelies :)
2.) Today made history for the LGBTQ+ community (if you don't support LGBTQ+ leave, I don't like you), it's now illegal to fire somebody from their job because you're LGBTQ+, you have no idea how happy this makes me.
3.) Take a moment to remember Sara Hagezy, she was an LGBTQ+ activist who died at the age of 30. She was arrested at a concert in Egypt for holding a pride flag. While she was in police custody she was sexually assaulted, and tortured. Two years ago upon her release she fled to Canada. Just yesterday (June 14 2020) she took her own life, her suicide note reading "To my siblings – I tried to find redemption and failed, forgive me. To my friends – the experience [journey] was harsh and I am too weak to resist it, forgive me. To the world – you were cruel to a great extent, but I forgive." R.I.P Sara Hagezy she'll be missed and not forgotten.
