To say (Y/n) was confused on approach to the common room was an understatement, dinner was finished and everyone was heading back to their common rooms but when the girl/ boy approached the entrance to Gryffindor common room, he/she found everyone crowded outside it. He/she walked further up the stairs finding himself/herself behind the Golden Trio and the Weasley Twins, he/she poked his/her head between the two taller boys and gained all of their attention.

"Hey guys, what's happening?" He/she questioned, trying to see over the heads of his/ her classmates but being in the lower steps he/she was at a disadvantage.

"The fat lady's gone missing," George replied watching his/her face as he/ she frowned.

"How so?"

"Don't know, there are claw marks on the painting and she's just not their," Harry answered this time.

"Sooo how do we get in then," the (Y/h/c) boy/ girl asked bluntly who only received a stern look from Hermione. (Y/n) shrugged. "What? I'm ready to hit the hay," Hermione rolled her eyes but her stern expression softened into a smile. Suddenly, Dumbledore and Filch hurried their way up the stairs, everyone moving to the side to press against the banisters so they could get through. George had taken the opportunity to pull (Y/n) close to him by the waist so he/ she was out of the way since he/ she was a bit slower than everyone else. The shorter male/female looked up at him to smile a thank you which he reciprocated immediately before they focused on their headmaster who was now in front of the painting, eyeing it up skeptically as he rolled a ripped piece back into place. The surrounding paintings whimpering or crying in worry for The Fat Lady.

"Mr Filch, round up the ghosts, tell them to search every painting in the castle and find the Fat Lady,"

Filch, however had his eye on something.

"There's no need for ghosts, Professor," the old caretaker spoke glumly. The Fat Lady is there," he pointed, everyone followed where before there was a rush of footsteps, everyone desperate to see where she was and ignoring Percy's instructions to slow down. George, at some point, had taken (Y/n)'s hand so they could get a better view. He/She followed him up the stairs and to a painting of a Hippopotamus'.

"Dear Lady, who did this to you?" Professor Dumbledore asked the whimpering woman who was hiding behind the Hippo.

"Eyes like the Devil he's got, and he's got a soul as dark as his name. It's him headmaster, the one they all talk about. He's here! Somewhere in the Castle. Sirius Black!" She cried in fear again before disappearing behind the Hippo again as muttering amongst the children filled the stair case. (Y/n) couldn't help but hug  George, feeling on edge that there was a killer in the school. George immediately hugged him/her back in an effort to make him/her feel safe.

"Secure the Castle Mr Filch, the rest of you. To the Great Hall."

"George, can I sleep next to you?" The boy/girl asked, holding her sleeping bag and pillow. The ginger haired boy looked up at his/her upside down face and stared before grinning and nodding. He/she smiled at his answer and laid his/her sleeping bag down. George turned on his side to face you and watched you sort your temporary bedding out, adoration in his eyes. Once (Y/n) snuggled down into her sleeping bag, his/ her (E/c) eyes looked up to be met with brown ones. "Comfy," he asked, to which the girl/boy nodded. He motioned him/her to come closer, so he/she wiggled his/her way over as George wrapped his arm around him/her into a hug.

It didn't take a genius to tell the two liked each other, the whole Gryffindor house knew and even Witches and Wizards from other houses could tell they were smitten for each other. George was probably the most enamoured of her out of the two, constantly staring at him/her every chance he got, or hold his/her hand whenever they walked side by side to lessons. However, the two weren't dating. Yet. George may seem very outgoing with his pranks and other people to the world but when it came to (Y/n) he was a bit too afraid to confess to him/her. He knew he would one day, and he knew he didn't have to worry about anyone else taking him/her from him. George was (Y/n)'s and (Y/n) was George's, it was clear to see. Fred couldn't be any happier for his brother, he was a good friend of (Y/n) and he could see them being good together. He wouldn't choose anyone else for his younger twin.
