"You've really done it now Lucith..." She says.
"Come Irillium, let's go-" Victor stands up to help her, but Irillium rises violently out of her chair.
"I need to be alone." She says while storming out of the dining room, Yosen still on her shoulder.
The room is in silence. Galvin looks down at his hand. It has a bit of Irillium's blood on it. "I should go too." He says, walking out. Victor sits in silence, leaning his head into his hand.
"I-I should go check on her." Maya says running off.
"Are you happy now?" Says Victor, obviously talking to Lucith. Lucith crosses his arms and frowns.
"I didn't do anything. I just spoke the tru-" He begins.
"ENOUGH!" Victor shouts. "Once Irillium has recovered you will go apologise. Don't let that turn into a threat son." He says. He gets up and walks off to his office. Lina stays silent, eating her breakfast.
"I guess you're on her side too aren't you?" Lucith says to her.
"I don't have a side Lucith, you should know this by now. But that? That was too much, even by my standards." She says in disappointment.
"I thought you were more mature than this." She adds, putting down her tea."Fine! I'm the one at fault then! I'll just go stay somewhere else for the day since my presence here is obviously unwanted." He says while leaving.
...
Irillium runs up to her bedroom and locks the door. She leans her back against the door and clutches her hand tightly. "... Are you alright my dear?" Yosen says. For the first time he feels somewhat sorry for her. * I can feel her rage, it's too strong to be caused from just this. I'm the God of anger, and this is quite strong, even for me. What has this girl been through?* He thinks. Yosen climbs off of her shoulder and transforms into his usual state.
Irillium's whole body is tensely shaking and her eyes are welling up with tears. "I don't... I..." She tries to speak but her mind is scattered. Her breathing begins to speed up and soon she starts hyperventilating. *Someone please help me... Please...* She thinks as she slides down onto the floor, her hand going purple from her grip.
*I don't know what to do in this situation...* Yosen thinks. "Alright, just try to breath calmly my dear. You need to snap out of it." He says gently.
He moves his hand over hers and tries to remove the grip she has on her injured hand. "You need to let go, you're going to hurt yourself." He says.Irillium sinks into a ball and starts uncontrollably sobbing while breathing inconsistently. "I just don't know what to do... I don't know..." She says through a strained voice. She drops her head down and wraps her shaking arms around herself. *I'm just a useless orphan...* She thinks.
*Oh dear...* Yosen thinks to himself, not knowing how to deal with the situation. *I've only ever seen mortals do this on the battlefield...* He thinks. Irillium falls onto her side and her breathing calms and so does the sobbing. She's gone from crying loudly to helplessly lying on the floor in a daze with a blank stare. She doesn't blink and she only breaths every now and then. Then she covers her face with her hands, paying no mind to the pain of her cuts.
"Irillium, you need to stand up and treat your hand." Yosen says. Irillium removes her hand, and looks at him with dead eyes.
*I know, but I just feel like I cant move...* She thinks. She looks away again.
*It seems I'll have to help her.* He thinks. Yosen lifts up her arm and puts it around his shoulder, hoisting up her body and supporting her as he moves her to sit on the bed. Irillium slumps over and hangs her head down.
"I'm going to treat your wound. Do you have a medical kit somewhere here?" He asks slowly. Irillium sighs tiredly.
She lifts up her arm weakly and points over to the shelf on the corner of the room."It's at the top." She says. "It's fine though, if you can pass it to me please, I can treat it myself." She says softly.
Yosen looks at her. *How is it that's she's acting so weak now. I thought that I would enjoy bringing her down, but now that I've seen it, it's actually not very pleasant for me to see. Maybe it's because I wasn't the one that did it?* He thinks to himself. He brings a small box down from the shelf and hands it over to her. He holds it infront of her but there's no reaction, her mind is elsewhere.
"My dear." He says, trying to get her attention. Irillium flinches and she turns to look at the box.
"Right, yes." She says while frowning in confusion. *I can't seem to focus on anything...* She thinks.
Yosen sighs and kneels down. "It seems like I'll have to help you afterall." He says. *Why am I even helping this sad mortal? I feel compelled. Is this what it feels like to be under the influence of a blood pact?* He thinks. He takes Irillium's hand and begins cleaning the wound.
...
Maya is standing on the other side of Irillium's bedroom door. *Is that the person I saw earlier talking?* She thinks.
*Maybe I should just give her space for now... I'm glad she's not alone in there at least.* She thinks as she walks off....
Irillium splashes her face with water, making sure not to wet her newly bandaged hand. She breaths in and breaths out deeply. *I want to get out of the house.* She thinks. She looks behind her and at Yosen, who is cleaning up the rest of the medicine. *That was really unexpected... I can't forget that he killed a person and threatened me though. We're in this situation because of him.* She thinks while putting her guard up again.
She turns and leaves the bathroom, gets some clothes and goes back in to change. She comes out in a pair of boots and pants with a loose long sleeved top.
"Are you feeling better now?" Yosen says."I'll be fine. Thank you for your help. I want to go out so you'll have to accompany me in your familiar form." She says.
*So that's what we're calling my lesser dragon form now?* He thinks. "Alright, though I'll also need something new to wear at some point." Yosen gives himself a look with blatant disgust. "I'm starting to feel dirty." He says. "Could we possibly stop by a clothing store in town?" He asks.
