Obviously Bucky and I weren't practicing for a month or so until he knows I'm completely healed. Bucky ended up just kind of moving in. He made me meals, helped me get dressed (more to his enjoyment), and took care of my wound.
Today was special, though. He'd be meeting me outside the door like our first date only because I kicked him out. Tonight the apartment managers are hosting a ball in honor of Thanksgiving. It's going to be pretty fancy so luckily I have a purple ball gown sitting in my closet. Getting into it was...a little difficult to say the least. The thin line of the bandage was visible through the dress, but as long as you don't stare at my torso it's alright.
I matched my eyeshadow and curled my hair. I didn't put mascara on because the pain makes me tear up sometimes and I am not about to look like a clown. I'm only willing to put up with this god awful pain for a dance with Bucky.
After he cleared up the Heather scenario and expressed he still does like me, I've been feeling a lot better about myself. I'm not in the constant pain (technically I still am) I was in, I can finally be my cheery self again. I slipped on black joggers and opened the door.
"Like always, truly beautiful, doll," Bucky winked.
He had a suit that looked close to his old military uniform. It was hot.
"You look..." I couldn't find a word to substitute hot.
"Hot? I know,"
"Hey, shut it,"
Walking was still awkward for me so I wrapped my arm around his waist and leaned on his side. His arm immediately went around my shoulder and I felt his skin against mine. I've never felt him somewhere other than my hands or waist...This is sure to be distracting.
"I missed this, just you and I," He admitted when we entered the room.
The decorations with of course Thanksgiving-themed and slices of Turkey were up for the taking. People danced with each other as the DJ on the stage played a more upbeat song. Oh, how I can't wait to slow dance with Bucky.
"Me too, I thought I did something wrong and ruined everything,"
"If you did something wrong I wouldn't just ignore your feelings for three months," He pulled me closer to his side as a few men eyed me.
The song ended and was followed by a slow song. I haven't heard any music I recognize at all, but this one was sure catchy and heartfelt.
"You said you were quite the dancer back in the day, want to prove it?" I smirked and turned myself to be on his chest.
"Gladly,"
My arms went around his neck and I pulled his head onto my shoulder. His arms wrapped around my upper back as he was trying to avoid causing any pain to my wound. We twirled around for the entire song, the whole time just holding each other to acknowledge our feelings.
"YN," He mumbled and took his head off my shoulder.
I met his gaze and he leaned in, claiming my lips as his once more. This kiss was more heated than our first, his soft lips playing with mine. I gave in and let him explore my mouth, his tongue giving me sensations I've never felt before.
"This place blows, should we go back to mine?" I asked when we took a break to breathe.
"Of course, doll,"
Bucky said he wouldn't go further with my injury, but just having him on top of me with his lips against mine was enough for now. His knee was in between my legs and his hands were next to my face. His chest against mine as he moved his mouth down my neck, leaving various marks against my flesh. When Bucky remembered my wound he didn't want to go further and cause any pain.
