Our girls have grown into quite the interesting bunch, wouldn't you say?

It's Christmas time and in a certain house in a town in British Columbia, there is a group girls that are getting into the holiday spirit. Well... except for one...

Hayden Scholes was not one for holiday cheer. Despite her family being very into the spirit, the young white-haired girl gimply couldn't find it in her to be joyous that year. She hadn't even dug out the menorah from the box that she had put into the closet when she and Katrina had moved into the house of their new friends, three months ago. The girl sat on her bed with her knees folded up to her chest, her chin resting on them. She was feeling blue, and her housemates had started to notice.

Despite the love Hayden had for the season and decorations, she refused the offers to help with the decorating. At first, her friends brushed it off as her feeling a little bit under the weather. But, after a week of nonchalance, Thorne got sick of Hayden's awful excuses.

This, is where things got interesting.

Thorne threw open the white door to Hayden's room without warning and stormed over to where the other girl sat curled up on her bed. With determination, Thorne picked up Hayden, carrying her to the living room where she tossed her at a pile of pillows and blankets on the floor. The smaller girl hit the pile of fluff and rolled off of it rather unceremoniously. She then turn and gaped at the smug-looking Thorne, who was smirking down at her. Thorne then pointed at the pile, and ordered Hayden look through it and find the clothes. She did as told. After doing that, she had to go and put them on. She did that too.

Thorne smiled victoriously at what she'd done. The other girls set up a party in the basement and had all of their friends there. It was Thorne's job to get the albino girl in festive wear and downstairs. She was forcing Hayden down the stairs when the other girl realized she just had to co-operate since she couldn't win.

Upon reaching the basement, there was a lot of hugging and shoving of people. And long story short, Hayden and Thorne ended up under the mistletoe.

Now, I'm not sure if I told you this before, but the two girls were crushing on each other. HARD.

Oh, I didn't? Well, I just did.

Okay, back to the event at hand. Hayden was blushing really hard and looking away, to which Thorne smiled sweetly. The dark haired girl thought it was extremely adorkable. But of course, there was something that had to be done. So, Thorne leaned in towards Hayden and said, "Can I kiss you?" in a soft voice. The shorter girl nodded sheepishly, not trusting her voice to work correctly. To this, the taller girl smiled. Thorne gently held Hayden's face and kissed her soundly on the lips. And Hayden, being her usual mildly shy and extremely awkward self, just froze in place. There was a resounding chorus of "awe"s and "about time"s from the people in the room but they couldn't hear them. The two were wrapped up in each other and for once, felt a little bit like magic was real.

Of course, there were confessions from both girls that they had crushes on each other and other fluffy things, but I do not have the time for that or the patience. Basically, the two girls effectively came out, and started a lovely relationship in a single kiss. Sure, it was quick but the two felt a spark or something like that.

The rest of the evening involved a single bottle of wine to split between all of the 12 people of legal drinking age in attendance, dancing and a certain couple of girls kissing the hell out each other as the night wore on. A certain country boy was admiring a girl on the other side of the room wearing a knitted elf hat, a despite her being completely oblivious to his affections. Drake sighed in defeat and went back to conversing with his friend. The other boy told him to forget about Bex for the night, and he did just that.

Just before she left her new girlfriend to sleep, Thorne kissed Hayden's forehead and whispered, "happy Hanukkah, sweetheart."
"Yeah, I suppose it is. Merry Christmas, love," was Hayden's response before she kissed Thorne on the tip of her nose. The dark haired girl walked quietly out of the darkened room, closing the door behind her. She smiled to herself before making her way to her own room and flopping on the bed. She rolled around with a huge, foolish grin on her face. Hayden had done something quite similar in her own room. The two girls fell asleep with smiles on their faces.

Okay, now I have to go and punch a wall, drink lemon juice, and eat a whole habanero to purge all the cuteness from my mind and soul. And to think, I thought this was going to be interesting. Sorry, if that was what you were expecting. Right, I think we're done here.
