-Bex's P.O.V-
Thistle, Thorne and I had been working diligently for months on the songs we had chosen to preform at the 'Rising Star' auditions, which were today. Around working at our jobs we had managed to get within a month of living in town, we rehearsed. We had the songs memorised word for word, note for note. That morning, we waited patiently- and, in Thorne's case, nervously- in the line. Thorne was the first out of the three of us to be judged. Then Thistle would go, then I was to preform last. I hoped that she would make the cut: I hoped we all would, but there was a part of me that didn't want to compete against my friends. So, I hoped that when they formed the groups that were formed, the three of us were in the same one.
-Thorne's P.O.V-
After what felt like ages, a short woman in a navy powersuit with a headset on called my number. I walked swiftly behind her, as she lead me to the stage. I was the first of my little group of friends to audition. I was soon standing at the edge of the stage, a microphone in my hand. I took a shakey breath and walked out to face the four judges that sat in front of me.
"What song are you going to try and sing for us?" One of the judges asked me in a rather bored tone. He seemed rather bored with all of this, which bothered me.
Thorne, keep your composure. Don't lose your temper. I had to calm myself a little before I answered him.
"'Fourth Dimension' by LIGHTS." I declared, slightly timidly.
After being told to start whenever I was ready I took another shaky breath. Then I let that familiar melody take over, finding comfort in the old song.
There were two judges who told me yes and one said no. The douche-y one, it seemed, would choose my fate.
"You're not horrific and I like the uniqueness of your voice. So in other words, you're in."
-Thistle's P.O.V-
"What song are you going to sing for us?" One of them sweetly asked.
I tried to keep my voice steady as I told them my song was 'This Little Girl' by Cady Groves.
"You're something else, but you're in." The nice one said
"I agree, you're in." One who seemed difficult said.
I ran off the stage all smiles.

"'Bless the Broken Road' by Rascall Flatts" was what I'd told them when they asked their question. Then I started singing.
Three of the judges said yes and the other person said no. The four of them decided that they were in fact letting me be in a group.
I walked out and found my friends.
"How did you guys do?"
"WE MADE IT! They put us in groups." They both cheered ecstatically.
"SAME HERE!"
We got into our car and drove home. "I wonder if all of us will be in the same group." I thought to myself.
The high pitched annoying sound of the phone ringing caught our attention.
Thorne found the phone, answered it and put it on speaker.
"Hello?" We chorused
"Hello Thorne it's me. For your group it will be you, the two girls that came on after you, and two other girls. I'm sending them over right now."
"Ok. Good day to you, sir" Thorne said flatly, signifying she was done with the conversation.
She hung up and then a knock sounded at the door.
Well that was fast.
"IT'S OPEN!" We all yelled.
In walked two girls.
"Hi I'm Katrina and this is my friend Hayden. The 'Rising Star' people sent us here," dictated the violet-haired girl.
"Hi Katrina and Hayden. The name's Thorne, the hipster over there is Thistle and the bumpkin is Bex."
"Don't we need a band name?" the blonde -Hayden- questioned.
"Yeah we do so let's think of one." I admitted.
After a good two hours of going back and forth with ideas we still didn't have one. It was either some band already had the name or no one else liked it.
"What about Geeks?" Thistle suggested.
"For the last time; No. Hipster please!" Katrina snapped at her.
"What about Nonsense?" I suggested meekly.
"Girls looks like we have our band name!" Hayden exclaimed, sounding quite like a fangirl.
"Now we should come up with a song that we would sing for the upcoming competition." Thorne reminded us.
"'Love Me'!" Thistle shouted.
"NO! " Thorne bit back.
Hayden and Thistle then started to belt out the lyrics. "LOVE ME LOVE SAY THAT YOU LOVE ME FOOL ME FOOL ME OH HOW YOU DO ME KISS ME KISS ME SAY THAT YOU MISS ME TELL ME WHAT I WANT TO HEAR!"
"Looks like we've got two Beliebers on our hands...." Katrina pointed out gouchily.
