The next couple of weeks could not have gone fast enough. The flight from Tulsa to Seoul lasted 20 and a half hours and I don't feel like I slept a wink during the entire flight. By the time we got to the Gimpo International airport, I could barely keep my eyes open. Luckily the hustle and bustle of the airport wasn't so hard to get through, not with Lucy's help at least. It was already almost midnight by the time we made it back to the house. I must have been so exhausted I didn't remember falling asleep on the couch.
"Hey, wake up," I heard a male voice say. I knew the voice sounded familiar but I thought I was dreaming so I kept my eyes closed. "Hey lady, wake up." I felt a finger poke my shoulder. I knew I wasn't dreaming now. "Who are you?"
I opened my eyes slowly and looked up at the person poking my shoulder. He was tall, had black hair that covered his eyes and he was eating a banana. "I'm Haruna," I said sitting up. "Where am I?"
"Oh good, you're awake," I heard Lucy call from the other room. "I see you met Kim Seok-jin."
"Kim Seok-jin?" I whispered to myself. I watched as Lucy came into the room and nodded to Jin. "Nice to meet you."
"Hey, guys!" Lucy yelled, "come meet your new manager!"
One by one I watched drearily as six more guys came into the room. I sat up and wiped the sleep out of my eyes. I almost wanted to scream. They each stood in line in front of me and bowed in greeting.
"Roll call guys, introduce yourselves."
They all introduced themselves one by one.
"Hello, I'm Jeon Jung-kook."
"Hey, I'm Min Yoongi."
"Hi, I'm Kim Taehyung."
"What's up? I'm Park Jimin."
"Hi I'm Jung Hoseok"
"And last but not least," Lucy said pointing to the last member. He smiled at me and I felt like I was going to melt.
"Hello, I'm Kim Namjoon."
I wanted to pinch myself. I was dreaming, right? I was now living with one of the biggest groups in the world. I lost my train of thought when Lucy looked at me and cleared her throat. "Oh right." I stood up and bowed myself. "It's nice to meet you all. I'm Makibi Haruna, but you can call me Haru for short." I looked up at all seven of them and smiled. "I hope I didn't startle you by passing out on the couch," I said looking at Jin who shook his head.
"No, you're good. I was just wondering if you were ok."
I nodded. "Alright boys," Lucy said. "I brought her to you so my job is done here."
"What?" I looked at Lucy. "You're leaving?" Lucy nodded as she grabbed her purse and her luggage. "Already?"
"My job was to just drop you off to the boys, Haru."
"But what if I mess up? I really have no idea what it's like to manage a group."
"You're managing the house..not the group." I raised an eyebrow at her. "Think of it as a house mom gig."
I opened my mouth to protest. I really wish she would have told me that. But I couldn't complain: I was out of Tulsa and I had a job. "Alright," I walked over to her and gave her a hug before she went to the front door. She turned and looked at me and smiled. "Haru, trust me this is the best thing for you right now. Just think of it as a fresh start." I nodded and she looked over me at the boys. "They'll take good care of you, I promise."
I hugged Lucy and she hugged me back. After breaking the hug she looked at the boys. "You guys take good care of her, you hear me? I'll be back in a couple of months."
"We promise," Namjoon said as he walked up and stood beside me. "She's in good hands, Lucy." He smiled at me and felt myself blush.
Lucy nodded, waved goodbye, and walked out the door into a taxi cab that was waiting for her. Namjoon and I watched as she placed her luggage in the trunk and climbed into the back seat and shut the door. We waved at her as the taxi took off down the road.
"Don't look so nervous," Namjoon whispered at me. "You're going to fit in fine."
I sighed a bit still looking down the road, even though the taxi was long gone by now. "I'm trying."
"Come on in and make yourself at home."
I looked at him and nodded, following him back into the house. We went back inside and found the rest of the guys sitting in the living room.
"Come sit with me, Haru," Taehyung said as he moved over a bit on the sofa to make room in between him and Jimin. I walked over to them and sat between them, not noticing Namjoon squinting at them both.
"Welcome home, girly," Jimin said.
I smiled and nodded. "Thank you. All of you."
"We need to think of sleeping arrangements for her," Yoongi chimed in. "She can't sleep on the couch while she's here."
"I'll be fine on the couch," I said. "I really don't mind."
Namjoon shook his head. "No, you're not sleeping in the living room. You can sleep in my room. I'm the only one without a roommate." Everyone looked at him and I opened my mouth before anyone could.
"No, seriously. I'll be fine out here."
"No, that's what we agreed to with Lucy. She wanted you to sleep in a room with one of us," Jin said. "And since Namjoon is our leader, she thought it would be best."
I smirked. "Of course Lucy would have a hand in this." They all chuckled and I nodded. "Alright. Lead the way and I'll put my stuff away," I looked at Namjoon as he stood up and grabbed my luggage. I stood up too and followed him upstairs to his room.
He opened the door and led me into the room. I looked around and took everything in. The room was huge. In the middle of the room was a full-size bed made up with white and black bedding next to a desk with a laptop and lamp. At the far end of the room was a huge walk-in closet and on the other side of the room was another twin size bed, both beds made up with the same bedding. I walked over to the twin size bed. "I actually want you to have the bigger bed," he said. "I thought you might be more comfortable."
"Are you sure?" I asked him. "I don't want to put you out or anything." Namjoon shook his head.
"Not at all. When Lucy asked us to take you in it was my idea to give you the bigger bed. I only felt it was right."
"I mean if it's not any trouble," I stood up and walked over to the other bed as he placed my suitcase on the bed. He smiled at me as if wanting to tell me something but walked to the door. I stopped him. "Thank you, Namjoon," I said as I unzipped my suitcase. "I mean it."
"You're welcome, roomie," he said as he stepped out of the room and closed the door. I sighed again as I sat down on the bed. I wasn't sure what came over me, but I lifted the comforter and smelled it. It had a faint scent of cologne and body wash-- It smelt like him, and for the first time in a long time I thought I was falling in love.
