You walk down your street looking at the Christmas lights thinking that its a wonderful sight to see everyone in the spirit of the season.
When you suddenly walked straight into a rather short someone, who immediately started cursing in a long stream.
"Oh no! I'm so sorry! Are you okay? Do you need help?" You exclaim apologizing rapidly as he continued to curse about having his tea spilled down his shirt.
He stops short when he hears your last question and gives you a death glare that most would cower at, but you're just impassive because you've seen plenty like it from your friend Mikasa.
"The fuck you mean shitty brat, does it look like I need help?" the shortie grouched irratated.
"Well, then I was only being polite," you retort turning to leave, but you hear a very familiar excited voice calling you from down the street.
"Y/n! Don't go! I'll get Levi to apologize! Please~y/n! I'll make it up to you~" your very excitable, annoying, and sometimes lovable neighbor Hanji yelled at you even though you hadn't moved an inch and she was currently yelling in your ear.
"Um...you know who this dwarf is, Hanji?" you ask her.
"What do you mean by dwarf! You mother fucking shitty ass-" exclaimed the proclaimed dwarf before he was interrupted by Hanji.
"Yup. My extremely difficult grouchy short friend is named Levi. He's staying with me for the holiday because I refuse to have one of my friends alone during this holiday. Especially since its also his-" she rambled on until Levi slapped his hand over her mouth and gave her a death glare.
"Alright shitty glasses you don't have to tell (her/him) everything," he grumbled irritated.
"Umm...okay Hanji, I gotta get home. See you later maybe," you announce hesitantly, heading towards your house.
"Wait, I still have to get him to apologize to you," Hanij whined before you could make it anywhere.
"Sure, but I think I owe him one too, even though he was very rude," you admit reluctantly.
"Okay, Levi you gotta go first since you were more rude. You also have to give (her/him) a chance to make up for spilling your tea and making a mess of your shirt," Hanji proclaimed happily.
"Fine, shitty four eyes. I'm sorry for being rude to you," he ground out through his teeth.
"Okay, I think that's the best apology I'll get. I'm sorry about running into you. If you want, you can come over and I'll make you another cup of tea," you state sweetly.
"Let's go Levi. You can get you replacement cup tomorrow," Hanji called as she skipped towards her house.
"See you, I guess," you conclude before heading away from him.
"I guess, idiot," he bit out.
You left quickly, to stop yourself from giving in to the temptation of retorting back at him.
~Christmas Day~
You get home after a night of last minute shopping and you're unloading your car with one of your housemates, Marco. When you hit someone with your Christmas tree because you were getting it out of the back of your car all by yourself.
You whip around apologizing profusely until you see who you hit, then you trail off, and stare at the dwarf from the night before.
"Why are you staring at me, you idiot?" he grumbled.
"Why are you standing in my driveway, shortie?" You retort.
"I was going to offer my help, but seeing as you can handle it yourself never mind," he spat out as he turned back towards Hanji's house.
"Wait, we do need help, and would appreciate it a lot," Marco pleaded before Levi could make it more than two feet, "We'll even invite you in for some hot chocolate."
You shot Marco an angry look, while Levi contemplated Marco's offer. He returned your look with a raised eyebrow. You mouth back I'll tell you later. He nods in understanding.
"Alright I'll help, but freckles I want tea not hot chocolate," Levi proclaimed.
After everything was put away, you all sat inside your living with a warm cup of cocoa or tea in Levi's case. You fidget in your seat while holding you cocoa.
"I haven't seen you in the neighborhood before," Marco stated to Levi, before he blew on his cocoa.
"That's because I don't live around here," Levi replied.
"Yeah, he's just staying with Hanji, Marco," you agree happily.
"Really, for how long?" Marco asked intrigued.
"Until New Years, through a combination of my apartment not being ready until then and stupid four eyes insisting that I stay at her house," Levi grumbled.
"What happened to your apartment?" Marco continued.
"Some stupid mother fucker who lives above me decided to flood the whole god damn building," Levi replied.
"Are you enjoying your stay so far?" you ask.
"When I'm not being pestered to death by stupid glasses, pretty good. "
You glance at the clock and realize you need to finish dinner or everyone in the house would be on your ass.
"Alright this has been nice and all, but I have to finish dinner now. So if you'll excuse me," you announce as you stand and head towards the kitchen.
"Oh why don't you join us for Christmas dinner, Levi? It'll be real nice," Marco suggests.
"Can I bring Hanji and another friend?"
"Sure, the more the merrier."
You groan internally because that adds three more people to cook for.
~Two Hours Later~
A silence had fallen over the group gathered in your dining room.
"There's desert right?" Sasha demands.
"Yup! We got pie!" Connie exclaimed.
You get the pie, serve it, then go outside to eat your piece of pie.
You finish your pie and look up at the barely visible stars in the sky, then hear someone come up behind you.
"Marco, I'll tell you about earlier when our guests are gone," you say.
"I'm not freckle face," was the response.
"What are you doing out here?" you ask turning around.
"I was just wondering why you came out here," Levi responded, "and seen it as a way to get away from eyebrows and four eyes for a little while."
"I came out to get some time to myself before everyone would need me for everything," you state.
"We're opening presents," Marco yelled.
"We should go inside," you say.
"Yeah, I guess but I wanted to give you a present," Levi responded.
"I don't see any box," you retort.
"That's because it doesn't fit in a box," Levi mumbled as he leaned in to kiss you.
His lips feel soft and warm against yours as you deepen the kiss. You sigh as he breaks the kiss.
"Merry Christmas," he gasps slightly blushing.
"Happy birthday," you reply.
A/N: This started as cute idea, but I feel like it turned out terrible, but whatever. Christmas update! Yay! Anyway hope you enjoyed it. Merry Christmas!
I almost forget. Thanks for picking up this thing and reading it.
