Chapter 10

The next month dragged thanksgiving break was over and I'm stuck in school again. I thought about James occasionally which made me miss him a lot. I haven't heard from him which was killing me inside.

The only sight I had of him was in my dreams, he often appeared in them. Everything felt so real until I woke up and came back to reality. It saddened me.

I find myself Monday morning in Ms.Padroskis Biology class just casually staring out the window daydreaming of what could've been. The only happy ending I had with him was the scenario that was in my head where everything seemed so perfect but, in reality it wasn't.

Evelyn! Evelyn! Aren't you paying attention! Ms.Padroskis raspy old voice pretty much screamed in my ears making me snap back to reality out of my daydream. Uh yes? What was the question again, I misunderstood. Small giggles arose throughout the classroom. Evelyn I told you to read the last paragraph on page 256 it wasn't a question.

The bell soon rang and I clumsy got up out of my seat when I tripped and faceplanted on the floor because Kayla put her foot out and I heard bits of laughter all around me which made me arise in fury. I used to always be that quiet girl who let things slide and just sat their but not today.

I'm just tired of Kayla in general she always tried making me look like I was the bad person and tried getting me In trouble. So I stood up dusted my self off and punched her straight in the nose which caused it to bleed. She tried punching me back but I blocked it and punched her with my other arm directly in the eye. I was feeling pretty confident until she threw the last punch and knocked the air out of me which caused me to almost fall back but I caught myself.

Ms.Padroski finally rushed over and split us up. Then we both got escorted to the principals office we were sitting side by side in Mr.Reyes office.

Girls girls girls he started I'm so dissappointed in you 2. We barely got back to school and theirs already a cat fight. I'm more dissappointed in you Evelyn! You know you could've broke Kayla's nose but luckily you didnt but, you still gave her a black eye!

Kayla gave her side of the story and tried slipping a few tears so she won't get in as much trouble but I knew they were fake.

Yeah Kayla your foot just randomly stretched out to the isle right by my desk and tripped me! You always tried ruining my life ever since we were younger! You always blamed me for things and acted all innocent! I always stayed quiet but this better be the last time you mess with me or else I'm gonna make both of your eyes black! I shouted angrily.

The principal told me to sit down and for me to calm myself. I really couldn't help it though because I'm short tempered but I just sat their quietly the rest of the time because I probably already cut some slack for Kayla since I looked like the bad person here.

In the end we both got suspended for the same amount of days because Kayla tried punching me in front of the principle but she miserably failed to. Kayla was always that bombshell pretty blonde who got away with everything because her parents were rich but not today. Hopefully she finally gets put In her place.

I was finally excused from the office and made my way down to attendance so I can wait for my mom to pick me up. They're was one other kid waiting to, to get picked up.

He had light brown straight hair and the most amazing light  green eyes. His style was a casual style blue jeans that fit him well not to tight or loose, a black shirt and black shoes.

He came and sat next to me. It was just silent for a few minutes which was making it awkward especially because we exchanged glares a few times.

He finally spoke up and said Hi. That's all he said and I said hi back then it got all quiet again. Then he spoke again my names Justin its nice to meet you and he actually shook my hand. I didn't say a word then I managed to cough up Evelyn its nice to meet you to.

He told me he was a Junior and that's he's 16 and he's turning 17 March 24th. We exchanged numbers. Before he left he stood up and gave me a soft embrace which made me explode with butterflies and a warm smile and waved goodbye. Maybe I should just forget about James I thought but,I pushed that thought away when my mom arrived.

She wasn't mad regarding the fact she knew the type of girl Kayla was. I hopped I'n my moms 09 Chevy.

Mom- good job honey you probably put her in her place she laughed.

Me- Mom! I giggled.

Mom- You hungry?

Me- Yes! I smiled.

Mom- okay subway it is.

Me- Yay!

We headed over to subway ordered,sat down and ate inside. We ended up having the weirdest most embarrassing conversation after that.

Mom- Have you even had your first kiss Evelyn? I want to know since you never tell me those things she laughed.

Me- uh I laughed and then said yeah it was in 8th grade remember I told you mom!

Mom- oh yeah I remember now honey! Have you kissed a boy since then?

Me- I turned red and said no. That's why I was kinda sad when James didn't kiss me.

Mom- Oh sorry.

Me- its okay mom.

Mom- Your still a virgin right?

Me- Mommmm! Yes I am!

Mom- haha she laughed that brings me back to the time when I lost it to your father we were in the back of his car...

Me- Mommmmm! Stop! I don't want to know.

Mom- okay okay honey she laughed. Now let's get home.

We finished eating and got home I helped my mom around the house. We cleaned the whole house and we ate dinner and watched a movie together.
