"Give her time. She'll barely understand who you are," Ludo replies as she continues to have her eyes fixed on her phone.
"She refused me, I don't know if you understand it," I blur out
"Kevin, what can I do about it?" she also blurts out and this time she looks me in the face, glaring at me
"Sorry" I was wrong to answer her like this
"Apologies accepted" she shrugs and goes back to scrolling the Instagram home with his finger
I have a lost look, she realizes it, turns off the phone and puts it under the pillow of her bed, then starts talking to me again.
"If she treated you like this she doesn't deserve you"
"What do you mean?"
"What I said," she looks down.
I think about it a bit, then I answer "Yes, it may be that you're right" Wow, I am so self-centered.
Then Ludo starts talking again, she is worried about something, she hears how the voice trembles.
"Kevin, if you found the right girl would you abandon me? I mean with Katia it wasn't going well and therefore you spent a lot of time with me, if you found the right one you would be willing to abound to dedicate yourself completely to her?"
And that's the problem? Is she afraid that I will abandon her?
"Ludo, I could never abandon you, you are so important for me and even if I had to find what will be my future bride I would never leave you" she is my only ray of sunshine, I could not abandon her even under torture, she smiles weakly
"Thanks, you know maybe your future bride is closer than you think" she says so and then she moves to me, picks up the phone and lies back on the bed
What does that phrase mean? Is she planning something with Aurora that I don't know? They know each other?
"What do you mean?" I ask her and she only looks up from the phone in response, stares at me and then asks me another question
"Kevin, do you really care about that disco girl?"
"Yes, very much" I answer
"Yeah, you care so much"
Then she looks back at the phone but it is perfectly clear that in her eyes there is a sea of disappointment and sadness while in my there are only many questions.
