Seconds of endless silence are passing. We are continuing to look each other in the eyes and neither of us says anything.
"Here," he says to me, finally, as he hands me the napkin
"Ah yes, thank you" I answer but I don't honestly know what I answered
Then other seconds of awkward silence. Around me only a myriad of muffled sounds, it is as if I don't hear much what is happening to me. Then he says something to me and I wake up
"H-Hi. My name is Kevin"
"Yes I know, you wrote me" I laugh so as not to cry -but what the fuck am I saying? - "I am Aurora anyway"
"Yes, I know"
Other seconds of awkward silence
I want to subvert myself.
Then, I don't know if luckily or unfortunately a woman's voice interrupts us.
"So how long does Kevin take-" she realizes me "who is she?"
"She's an...old friend, I haven't seen her for a long time and I stopped to talk with her but now Katia I'm coming" he says, then he continues "bye Aurora" and walks away, while he does so he turns to look at me and smile at me.
I'm not with my head anymore, I'm going crazy. I haven't felt such strong emotions for years and trying them again now is like reopening a wound that is now closed. And it hurts tremendously.
"Shall I make you a Mojito?" Maria with this question awakens me from my thoughts. -How do you understand me on the fly, without me telling you anything? -
"Do it double" I answer "I need to forget"
"He is in love with you" Maria says suddenly "Trust me, I understand these things"
"I don't know if he's in love with me, but I'm definitely in love with him. Crazy in love with him"
