Chapter 9: After Hours

We both stopped laughing and looked at each other in silence. Kishinuma-kun's phone went off. He pulled it out of his left pocket and opened it and half-smiled at the message that displayed on his screen.

"Say Kishinuma-kun..who is that?" I questioned.

"Huh? Oh, just Shinohara." He replied back.

I felt a strange sensation throughout my head, and then I shifted my head down.

What is this feeling..?

"Shinozaki? Are you okay?" The blonde asked.

I quickly looked up and snatched his phone.

"Hey, what the!?" He shouted.

I sent the links between the phones so that we can have each others emails, I just want to know what's between him and Shinohara-san..that's it, nothing more afterwards.

I then tossed his phone back while he looked at me with a concerned face.

"You know, you could've just asked if you wanted to see my phone.." Kishinuma-kun said as he sighed.

"Well, it was just more subtle that way." I said back.

"What's your definition of subtle..?" He muttered back.

Kishinuma-kun scratched the back of his head and said "Well, sorry Shinozaki..I gotta get back to work, so I'll see you later." Then turned to walk away.

As the boy turned I quickly grabbed the back of his shirt and he stopped and turned his head back towards me.

"You better email me as soon as you get the chance, I have some questions for you." I said seriously.

The blonde had a nervous look on his face.

"U-Uh right." He stuttered.

I then turned back to go to my table where my sister were originally sitting.

"Sorry to keep you waiting Nee-chan." I said as I took my seat.

"Ufufu, it's quite alright, but my question is, who was that boy you were talking to?" She asked as she smiled.

"Just a classmate of mine." I finished quickly, trying to avoid this "topic".

"Well it seems your conversation was very...intimate hehe." She said.

"Nee-chan!" I exclaimed.

"Hehe what? If I'm not wrong why did you insist on snatching his phone and exchanging emails? Plus, he is kinda cute Ayumi, I'm jealous." She said as she snickered again then drinking her smoothie.

"N-N-Nee-chan stop!!" I could feel my face getting red.

"I-I'm trying to find the status of him and my friend, Shinohara-san, I want to know what's going on between them!" I said while stuttering.

"So it's just a bit of jealousy I presume?" She asked.

"N-N-NO!"

"It's not like that I just-I..ughh." I said then buried my face in my arms once again with a red face.

I'm just curious about their relationship right? Not..Kishinuma-kun..there's no way.
