Shaking off the cold bitterness of winter.
Budding flowers
Reaching for the warmth of the sun.
Awakening animals, seeking new beginnings
The lovely scent of springtime
Fills the air
Joyfull caws from birds
Migrating home from warmer places.
Dewdrops linger on the grass
Rain drips from the sky
Grass grows greener
Flowers brighter
Spring has come
For the time it will stay.
