Anger

Anger
Lashing out
With flaming tendrils.
Its burn
Far more fierce than fires touch.
Twisted in vexation
A creature
Torn apart
Beyond recognition
With crushing rage and malice
Enmity tears it apart
From the inside out
Till no creature
Of living or dead
Can recognize what it once was.
So they lock it away
While that vile creature
Twists and screeches
Inside its cage
But they were mistaken
For it is not the creature that is vile
But the flaming ire
Buried inside its heart.
