Rescue and Conflict

(A/N): First of all, I know Amy is in the picture, when she technically shouldn't be. Two reasons: 1. There is no context as to when this picture takes place; it's obviously just a poorly cropped photo from a 'Sonic Boom' episode. It could be after Amy is rescued. 2. I'm just too lazy to use PhotoShop. Idk if I can even use PhotoShop on the device I'm writing on. So just deal with it. And second, the SIdeshow Bob scene from The Simpsons is here because one moment in this chapter is based on that scene.

You and Tails ran as fast as you could to Sonic's shack. Sonic was still sleeping. You ran to his hammock and started violently shaking Sonic. "SONIC!!! WAKE UP!!!!!" Your shaking and yelling scared Sonic awake, and he fell out of his hammock. "(Y/N)!!! WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON?!?!" he asked, his chest huffing and puffing. He noticed you panicking, and hyperventilating. "Tails? Why is he like that???" he asked. "Well, (Y/N), Amy, and I were having lunch when suddenly Eggman attacked. And Shadow broke into the house and kidnapped Amy." "WHAT??!" Sonic said. Now that you've calmed down a bit, you spoke at last. "We need to get the others and go to Eggman's base to get Amy back."

Sonic stood there for a couple of seconds before responding. "Okay. You two get Knuckles. I'll go get Sticks." You and Tails nodded and ran out to get Knuckles, while Sonic dashed towards Sticks' shack. Tails turned to you and asked you, "Are you sure you want to do this? This can be dangerous, especially for someone without any defenses." You looked at him and responded, "Don't worry. I'm prepared for that." The two of you got Knuckles and went back to your house. Once there, you got a pair of boxing gloves, put on a navy man suit, and got your sword from the glass box. "Let's go." you told them as you put on the boxing gloves.

The three of you ran back to Sonic's shack, where Sonic was waiting for you with Sticks. "(Y/N), what's the big deal with all of that?" Sonic asked, gesturing at your new appearance. "Preparation for battle?" you said. "Never mind. Right now, we got a job to do." Sonic said. "Very well, Sonic. Lead the way." you answered. Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Sticks, and yourself were now on your way to save Amy. 

You arrived at Eggman's base, and stopped at the entrance. You stepped forward. "Eggman, you villainous scum. You kidnapped the fair maiden Amy Rose. Leave thy fortress, and face me like a man!" you said, trying to sound like a dramatic actor in an opera. You drew out your sword, and pointed it at the entrance. You drew back your sword after a while of silence. It seemed as if nothing was going to happen. Suddenly, the door opened and an army of robots emerged. "Okay. Not what I was expecting, but whatever." you said. You got your boxing gloves out, and started charging towards them. You punched the robots so hard, that they slammed into the other robots, breaking apart on impact. 'Good thing they're small. I can punch them easily.' you thought.

SLAM!

You turned around to see a huge robot behind you.

'D'OH!' you thought. 'Why did I have to jinx it?'

You ran up to Knuckles, "Knuckles, I need a lift." Knuckles grabbed you and started spinning. He let go, throwing you towards the robots giant eye. You then punched it with all your strength, and knocked it off. The robot exploded as a result. Good thing you landed a safe distance from it. But you suddenly felt a major pain in your right hand. You looked to see a ripped part of the boxing glove, and blood on your knuckles. You immediately took a small bandage and quickly wrapped it around your hand. 

You ran into the hallways of the base. The doors opened, and there he was. Eggman stood there in the middle of the room, with Amy trapped in a cage. Seeing her in that cage, made the anger fill you up to the point you thought you were going to explode. Eggman could see the fire in your eyes, and the sheer intensity of it caused him to panic internally. He pushed a button on his arm, and an army of robots came into the room. "Robots, ATTACK!" he screamed in anger and fear. Sonic and the others, who were attacking the robots stopped and looked at you. You walked towards Eggman slowly, drawing out your sword, and slashing the robots with strong strokes. The sword hit the robots so hard and so quickly, that the robots were torn to shreds, and the fragments hit other robots, destroying them as well. Eggman was now terrified. Even Amy was afraid. There was no stopping you. "Well, Eggman. Any last requests?" you said, slowly walking towards him. 

But you stopped when you were directly in front of him. And you slashed his armband. "Oh, come on. Do you have any idea how much it's going to cost to replace that? Those things are not cheap and-" You grew more angry and pointed your sword directly at his head. "Ummmm...uh. Oh, well I've heard that you love opera." Your anger turned to annoyance, as you turned towards Amy with a annoyed look, which said 'You had to tell him about that, didn't you?' Amy noticed, and made an awkward expression. "Yes, that is true." you said to him, looking at him again. "Well, can you...sing to me some pieces?" You pulled the sword away from him. "Very well, Eggman. I shall send you to Heaven...before I send you to HELL." You then grabbed Eggman by the collar of his jacket, and tied him to a chair. You decided to sing your favorite opera, the HMS Pinafore (I'm not doing a opera of your choice because I doubt most of you even listen to opera. Also, this is a parody of The Simpsons).

"And a two, and a three, and a..."

*one hour later*

Sonic, and the others were tired as you continued singing.

"He remains an E-E-E-E-Eng-lish-man." you finally finished. You slowly started to walk towards Eggman. You draw your sword. "And now, the final curtain." You were about to punish him for taking away Amy. But as you were about to finish the job, Sonic stopped you. "(Y/N)!!! STOP!!! You don't have to do this." you started to calm down. You got Amy out of the cage, and the six of you started to run out of the base. Suddenly, a robot from behind them shot a laser, and stunned Amy. "AMY!" you said. Sonic spin-dashed and smashed the robot. You checked to see if she was okay. Thankfully, she was okay, but just unconscious. You picked her up and ran home with her in your arms.

*a few hours later*

You, Sonic, and the others were at Amy's house keeping a close eye on her. Amy started to wake up. She looked around and then at you. "(Y/N)? What happened?" she asked you. "You were at Eggman's base. We rescued you, but you got knocked out. So I grabbed you and carried you home." she looked at you for a few more seconds, and then at the others. "Is this true?" she asked. They nodded. She then pulled into a hug, and said, "Thank you."

*time skip*

She now fully recovered, and all of you returned to your homes. When you returned at your house, you started thinking, 'Why did I get so furious at Eggman for capturing Amy? Why did I get so angry at him to the point of me going full Sideshow Bob and try to kill him? Do I view myself as just a friend of Amy, or as something more? Am I in love with Amy Rose?'

Amy was having a similar moment. 'I remember (Y/N) in some kind of uniform slashing robots with his sword. He seemed very angry, in a horrifying way. Then he tried to kill Eggman. He's never been that angry before. But why was he angry then and there? Does he care for me in a way more than as a friend? As for myself, do I view him as a friend? Or as something more?' Both of you had a lot of things to figure out. And neither of you could ignore those thoughts this time.
