Panic has settled in the US and now students across the country are being forced to go home. At first, its just a couple weeks, but when Hannah Oakley gets back to LA, she finds out it's going to be a lot longer. But that's okay because she's stuck...
Tonight's my online graduation. My cap and gown are here because the school mailed them. Luckily my parent's address is in the system and they sent it here.
But for the day, we are all going to be hanging out on the beach. Perks of having it in the backyard. My grandparents are coming over too but they haven't been anywhere so it was safe.
I woke up this morning and Ashton was still asleep, lightly snoring in my ear. He must've been restless last night. His head was on my pillow and his body was crooked on his side and the covers were all tangled with his legs.
I slowly got out of bed, carefully, and luckily not waking Ashton up. I pulled on the hoodie that Ashton had laying on the floor and headed downstairs.
I walked into the kitchen and saw my parents on the back patio. I grabbed a cup of coffee and walked out back, sitting on the patio couch across from my mom and dad.
"Ashton was sure snoring up a storm last night" my dad laughed,
"You could hear him?" I laughed back,
"Yeah. Do you get any sleep? He has to keep you up" mom smiled,
"I'm used to it by now. I just drown it out" I shrugged. I know Ashton snores but I didn't know it was that bad.
"So, do you guys still like Ash?" I asked, a little nervous.
"Like? Honey, we love him" Mom smiled,
"But we hate Gabe" Dad said,
"Couldn't tell" I joked as we all heard the back door open. We turned and Ashton was walking out in shorts and a hoodie.
"Good morning" Ashton smiled and sat next to me, leaving a kiss on the side of my head. Then he took a sip of my coffee.
"So, Han, what do you want for dinner since it's your graduation? We'll order it later and go pick it up" Dad asked while Mom went and got Ashton his own cup of coffee.
"City Cellar?" I smiled,
"You got it. Ashton, go with me later?" Dad nodded. Ashton grinned next to me and nodded back. Something was weird because they just kept giving each other looks.
When Cassie and Gabe walked outside and sat down, Mom and Dad went inside and started making breakfast so it'd be ready when my grandparents get here.
"Do we have to dress up for your graduation? It's kinda pointless because nobody is going to see us" Cassie complained,
"Well, I am. I already bought the dress and Mom's going to want pictures so you'll probably have too" I told her. She just rolled her eyes.
"I'll dress cute for you" Ashton smiled down at me while mocking Cassie,
"Yay! Then we can take cute pictures" I grinned and pecked his lips.
"Okay" Cassie groaned, "Do you think Grandma and Grandpa will like Ashton?" she crooked her eyebrow,
"Yeah. I mean he's talked to them over Facetime a lot and they like him" I told her. Ashton sorta tensed up but relaxed quickly.
"So what is your major?" Gabe asked, ignoring Cassie.
"Accounting and Finance" I responded and leaned onto Ashton a little more.

Gabe and Cassie finally went inside, so it was now just Ash and I. We enjoyed the silence. We both aren't big talkers in the morning, so sitting with my family was rough. I knew there would be more talking at breakfast with my grandparents so we soaked in the silence.
We walked inside for breakfast and my grandparents were standing around the table.
"Hanny!" my grandpa grinned and hugged me. I hugged him back tightly. One thing about being in LA is that I definitely miss him. He's my best friend.
"Quite hogging my grandbaby Rich" I heard my grandma say as I was pulled into her arms. I could hear Ashton laughing as I was smothered then finally let go of.
"Oh! Grandma, Grandpa, this is Ashton" I introduced them for the first time in person.
"It's nice to see you not on a screen" my grandpa laughed and shook his hand and my grandma hugged him,
"Same for you all" Ashton smiled.

We all went down to the beach after breakfast. Ashton and I we were acting like kids. We surfed, well Ashton tried to surf, we built a sandcastle, then laid down on the towel and took a nap.
Around 4, we all headed back up to the house to get ready for my graduation. My dad and Ashton showered first and got dressed up then left to go get the food.
When I got out of my shower and put my dress and heels on, I walked downstairs and Ashton and my dad were back and food was set up on the table.
"You look beautiful" Ashton smiled and took my hand as I sat. I thanked him and kissed him quickly before starting to eat. We didn't have much time to eat because we had to log on to Zoom to do my graduation.
We got my graduation pulled up on tv and had to wait until I was to go. Everyone was sitting in the couches as I stood next to the tv ready to walk in front. My parents and Ashton all had their phones out, taking pictures and videos of me as my name was about to get called,
"Hannah Marie Oakley. School of Business. Accounting and Finance"
I grinned and walked in front of the tv, turned my tassel and smiled as my picture was taken.
When the name switched, Dad turned it off and everyone hugged me as Ashton kissed me before we were dragged to the front yard for pictures.
"Can you take mine and Ash's on my phone?" I asked my mom as I handed the device to her. She nodded and I stepped back to Ashton's side to take our pictures.
She handed my phone back and Ashton and I looked at them. I sent them to Ashton's phone and seconds later my phone had an Instagram notification from Ashton on it,
