I rushed around my dorm/apartment getting ready for class. You'd think I'd be ready by now considering my first class of the day is at 1:30.
In just a few weeks, I'll have a break. In just a few weeks, it will be spring break. In a few weeks, I'll be on a plane, going home to Florida with my boyfriend, Ashton. In a few weeks Ashton will be meeting my family for the first time in person, after two years of us dating, and we will be going on vacation with my family.
It just couldn't seem to come any faster.
I finished getting ready and grabbed my backpack and phone. I clicked on my screen and saw the typical morning text from Ashton:

Ashy🥰: [ Good Morning!
Have a gr8t day! I'll talk to you in a bit. Love youu ]

It's always the same message, sometimes a little more, sometimes a little less, but I always reply:

[ Good Morning! Love you too.
Have fun
at the studio ]

I got my music playing and popped my AirPods in and began my walk across campus.
Walking across campus, I could hear rumors going around about classes being canceled. The Coronavirus has entered the US and a lot of colleges are taking a few weeks off. The virus did make me a little nervous, especially since Ashton's due to go out of the country in a couple of months.
I met up with my friend, Madeline, and we walked into our Communications class and took our seats. Everyone around us was all chatter about the school closing down for a week.
"Have you heard anything about that?" Madeline asked as we waited for the class to actually start.
"Not at all" I laughed.
Our professor came in and stopped at front of the room.
"Here's what is happening. You guys will be out of classes tomorrow and Friday. Then next week you'll be out. The following week you will do online learning. After that week the school will inform you of what the situation is" she explained.
The murmuring began.
"Uh, do we have to leave the dorms?" Someone asked.
"Yes. All students living in dorms or the dorm apartments must leave by tonight" she said.
Madeline nudged me.
"What are you doing? You going home?" She questioned.
"I think I will. At least just a week. I'll just see if I can stay at Ashton's tonight and have him take me to the airport tomorrow morning" I shrugged.
"Oh he'll let you stay the night" Madeline smirked and gave a playful nudge.
"You still live at home so you're lucky you don't have to get out" I laughed giving a small shove back.

When we got out of class, Madeline and I crossed the campus and got to the building our math class was in. Since we still had 20 minutes to spare, we took a seat on the couches outside of the classroom. I pulled my phone out to text Ashton about tonight, but as I went to text, he called.
