Chapter One: Flashback

It was like someone had shoved a knife in my back and twisted it as slowly as they possibly could have, I felt like my whole world was falling apart piece by piece, yet I was still letting my parents down by not giving them the reaction they had wanted. But what they didn't realize was I couldn't careless where we lived as long as I had my friends and my amazing boyfriend with me. Moving to Los Angeles was fucking my life up royally.

My father had been promoted to some new position in his company that I couldn't have cared less to remember the name of, the 'perk' of the new position was to fly across the continent to LA, California from Calgary, Alberta.

As soon as Finn, my boyfriend, found out I was moving away decided that having a long distance relationship wouldn't work so he broke up with me. Finn's an asshole, I can see that clearly now, but im not to heart broken about it. The real thing I'm heart broken about was leaving my friends behind and my Jeep. But one of those is about to come to LA with us and its not human.

"UGH!!" I screamed at my parents, "You already have ruined my life by making me leave my life behind here, and now you want me to leave my Jeep behind?!" I was absolutely livid.

"We did not 'ruin' your life. You will make new friends in LA, and look Athena, Eli isn't making a fuss about moving." My mother states.

"That's because no matter what you will buy him what ever car he wants in LA like you did here. It took me MONTHS of begging for you guys to crack and buy me my Jeep even though I'm a better driver than Eli. I have never gotten into an accident or gotten any tickets. Can we at least work out a way to take it with us?"

"No Athena."

A brilliant but risky idea popped into my head. "What if I drive my Jeep to LA from Calgary?"

My mother had taken a few minutes to ponder an answer, "Fine," I did a mental dance of victory in my head, "BUT Eli must come with you. Its not safe to drive alone, no matter how good you are."

And that ladies and gentlemen is how me and my twin brother Eli, got the opportunity of a lifetime to drive thousands of Kilometers to the city of Angels.
