Chapter Three: School Sucks Ass More Than Usual...
Having to wake up an hour earlier to get ready and to make it to school on time really put a damper on my mood. I'm already not a morning person so this situation made it 10x worse. I really hope they had a Starbucks on the way, I'm defiantly going to miss my morning Tim Hortons. UGH! Stupid parents, the positive was that I had heard that they might be building Tim Hortons in the USA which I had hated before and still do now but just a bit less.
Eli was always mom and dads favourite, and to only prove that more was the fact that they had flown out his stupid ass Ford and not my Jeep, AND mine was partially paid for by me and his was paid for by them. Its not like I party or anything, the ironic thing is that Eli does though and I cover for his ass ALL THE TIME.
Pulling into the schools parking lot made me more nervous than I was before, what if I look stupid? What if I'm going to be a loner for the rest of the year? Finding a spot was slightly easy considering I left earlier than needed, I just REALLY needed a coffee.
Getting out of my Jeep I quickly re-adjust my cream infinity scarf, I also quickly make sure my white V neck t-shirt isn't showing to much, and adjust my denim short shorts. Grabbing my Starbucks cup and my binder from my passenger seat I then shut my door and venture my way into the school to find the office to get my schedule and find where my locker is.
The office wasn't to hard to find as long as you followed the signs on the walls. The office was quaint and had a older woman behind the desk, she reminded me almost of my own grandma.
"Hello there dear," the receptionist kindly greeted me, " what may I help you with?"
"Hello, I'm new here and I was wonder if I may have my schedule and locker info?" I politely asked. It doesn't hurt to be nice to the receptionist, it may come in handy.
"Sure thing sweetheart! What is your name?"
"Athena Steel." I replied
"One moment please." The woman said while she typed things into her computer. Taking advantage of the moment I quickly look around out through the glass walls that separate the office from the main area of the school. The sound of the printer starting up was heard. "Here is your schedule," she passes me a piece of paper, " and here is your locker info and a map," she passes me two more pieces of paper, "Have a great school year."
Looking at my locker info I memorize the locker number and try and find it in the hallways. Lucky for me it was in the main hallway and not to far from my first period and last period. Opening up my locker I quickly put my coffee in there along with spare loose leaf (lined paper, IDK if thats what it is called in other parts of the world so I put what it actually is so you know) and put it in a neat stack in the corner of my locker, another perk of it was it was a top locker and not a bottom one. That would have made me hate this place more than I already do.
After I finish my business at my locker I check the time on my iPhone 7:51 AMokay, I have 9 minutes to find my class, AP English, Mrs. Falcon Rm 202. I am currently in the 100s so I have a way to go. Walking down the hallway looking for the classroom I must have looked weird because a girl randomly approached me, "Hello," she began, "you must be new because you look way to old to be a freshman and sophomore, so you must be either a junior or senior."
I laughed, "I am new, I just came from Calgary, and I'm a senior."
"Are you lost or something?" she chuckled.
"Uhh kind of." I sighed.
"Mind if I see your schedule? I might be some assistance." Not wanting to be late I hand the random person my schedule. "Oh my god, okay, we have 1, 2, 3, 5, and 6th. The only class we don't have is you have Computer Science in 4th and I have Biology. Want me to show you to our classroom?"
