I woke up knowing that Michael was staring at me. The temptation to open my eyes was strong but if I did then he'd make me get up and I'm too tired.
"You're really bad at faking sleep." He chuckled poking my cheek.
"Shush." I groaned rolling away from him. He pulled me back and wrapped his arms around my body.
"We have to get up." Michael whispered against my back. Is he really going to make me go down and see everyone when I've got jetlag? "Don't claim jetlag, we both know you don't get that." He read my mind and I could just tell he was smirking behind me.
"I hate you." I muttered, pulling the covers over my head. The warmth beside me disappeared and I wondered what torture method he was going to use to get me out of bed. Nothing happened for a few minutes and the anticipation was killing me. Finally I pushed the blanket back over so I could see; only to see him watching me from a chair.
"Seriously, you weren't going to make me get up?" I grumbled, getting up and stretching.
"I knew you would if you thought I'd left you." He winked and walked over to his wardrobe. "Now what are we going to do about the plan?"
"What plan?" I asked completely confused.
"Screwing with Ashton by pretending we're together." Michael grinned, grabbing some flannels from the closet.
"I thought that was a one time thing?" A rush of adrenalin ran through me at the thought of Ashton being jealous but that's not the point. The point is to screw him over not get him to screw me.
"It'll be fun." Michael sorted through the clothes in his hands and threw me one. "Here wear this." He wants me to wear his clothes now? Is he off his mind?
"I do have things, you know?" I pointed to my luggage which was still discarded on the floor.
"If you were my girlfriend then you'd wear my clothes." He laughed before walking into the other room to get changed.
"Fine." I called back, slipping on his shirt with my own jeans. I have a feeling Michael is taking this way too seriously.
Soon we were both ready and about to walk out the door.
"You ready for your toast?" Michael asked with a serious face.
"I was half asleep!" I slapped him on the arm as we made our into the elevator.
"If you want to bruise me, it would make this so much more believable." He smirked at me in the mirrored surface of the lift.
"I'm scared, Mike." I whispered quietly against his arm.
"Don't worry. If I need to I'll hurt him." The protective tone came over his voice again.
We walked into the restaurant and instantly saw the three boys in an animated conversation. I slowed my pace down to barely a crawl causing Michael to practically drag me over.
Luke noticed us first and gave a small wave.
"Hey guys." Michael said as he pulled me by my hand to the two spare seats at the table.
I kept my gaze off Ashton as I took a seat in between Michael and Calum. The lads all chorused a few heys and hellos. Well two of them did, the other one stared right at me with a dark glare.
