SGC - Ava's Room

"Miss Hanson, I know you don't want to accept the facts but he IS your father." Hammond says gravely to me as he shakes his head again in frustration.

"From a separate universe?" I ask him blandly as I cross my arms."I look nothing like that man. If we're related in some way it'd have to be through and with extreme distance Sir."

Hammond sighs "it is something that I'm unable to explain, the chances of the tests being wrong is very very small."

"Maybe it's because his body double is my father then. But it can't be him specifically. He's never been to my version of earth where you're all just a tv show. ." I tell him as I stand up irritated and begin pacing back and forth.

"A lot of things that happen around here have been impossible to explain which leads me to believe that it is indeed very possible somehow." Hammond says sympathetically to me.

Yeah sure, maybe after he dies he ends up reincarnated into the body of my real father somehow keeping his DNA or the actor is my father and mama just never told me so.

"Can't you just find a way to get me back home?" I ask in irritation, I have plans at home and dreams and sure the adventures thing is cool but come on.

"I'm trying to get into NASA, they're going to try to terraform Mars to make it livable and I want to get the chance to be on one of the trips over there."

"Really? They have the technology to do that?" Hammond asks curiously, then he shakes his head and stands up "never mind that, thats not the point, Miss Hanson. I need you to be in that briefing room within one hour."

After Hammond starts opening the door he pauses and turns to me "and please Make sure to put on the uniform, you're joining SG-1 effective immediately."

I groan in annoyance as he leaves and imitate him "make sure to put on the uniform, you're joining SG-1 effective immediately" BUT at least he said please, mr Hammond is a polite annoyance.

What about getting me home huh? This is like a weird copy where the reality is shifted but based off of the tv show.

So what if the actor who played Hanson was possibly my father back home? This guy isn't my father. Besides, I look nothing like him anyways, my skins too dark and I look too much like my mother.

I change into the outfit with a frown on my face. Perhaps I should be happy about getting to explore the universe and getting to do this, but how can I be?

I guess I had better for lack of a better phrase . .

'Buckle up and get my ass in gear. This is going to be one hell of a ride' . .

SGC BRIEFING ROOM
3rd POV

SG-1 is seated around the briefing table, along with Makepeace, the rest of SG-3 and Ava is sitting there looking annoyed.

Hammond is pacing the room as he talks "When we completed interviews of all the refugees you brought back from Chu'lak, ten of them identified the final four symbols the Goa'ulds used to escape through the Chu'lak Stargate. When we disregard the last one as point of origin that leaves three to work with."

Hammond gestures to the computer screen to display the glyphs.

"Captain Carter's computer model has thus far extrapolated only one set of symbols from the Abydos cartouche that contains these three glyphs."

Blandly Jack says "Let me guess. That's where we're going."

Hammond nods at him and replies back sarcastically "Very good, Colonel."
