An Offering Spell

It was time.

I felt ready.

I knew I had to do it because after all it was worth it. I was sick of being lonely. Sure I had Adam but I wanted more then one friend. Especially a witch friend.

Before I could do the actual offering spell I had to fall asleep so that I could go to the other side. The easy thing is I could just fall asleep with the ingredients in my hands, so when I wake up on the other side, I could just do the spell there. That would be the easiest way.

I held my rose petals close in one hand and my emerald green necklace in the other. My necklace was where I was going to be channeling their souls. The thing with the other side is where you go when your relationship with your flesh and blood is disconnected but not your soul. Your soul is still connected to the living so you're kinda half dead.

Once I'm asleep and am on the other side, that is when the offering spell comes into hand. In order to bring someone back from the dead, you have to offer them the deal. If they accept the offer, then right after you have to start the chant. With the help of my necklace, it will keep the soul alive while I transfer myself out. It will all happen so quickly that I will hopefully be back to Adam soon.

I lie down on my bed and shut my eyes.

I grasp the petals tight.

The light scent of the rose was so calming. I sat there for a while waiting for me to drift off. It took a while, but once I finally did, I arrived in my usual spot, a dark forest surrounded by a series of torches.

When I first came here, I built this spot for my witch friends to meet me. Every night.

I look down at my hands to see my rose petals still in my hand and my emerald necklace in the other.

I smile.

It worked.

I looked around for a while. Waiting for one of my friends to show up. It was very quiet and dark. The stars in the sky added some light and the big moon was staring at me from above.

All of a sudden, I heard quiet whispering in the woods and knew that they were close.

Even though I have all my ingredients here with me and all of my chants memorized, I still had a feeling in my gut that something was going to go wrong.

I get that feeling before every spell that I do so I just shake it off.

I wait for a couple more minutes until they finally appear. I first see Drew walking towards me with a big smile on his face. Then behind him was Maya.

"There's my favorite witch." Drew says.

A massive smile appears on my face as I run towards him giving him a hug.

Maya scowls. "Wow, that one hurt Drew."

Drew laughs. "No hard feelings, Maya."

Maya rolls her eyes and then turns towards me.

"Where is Delilah and Eli?" I ask.

Maya opens her mouth to talk but gets interrupted by the sudden surprise.

"Can't go 24 hours without us huh?" Delilah says walking in with Eli. Her straight, long, black hair reflects gracefully from the bright moon.

I look at them and hug them both. "Well it's been pretty boring at home." "Speaking about home, I have some good news for you guys." I turn around and grab my rose petals and necklace.

Maya stares at the necklace. Out of the five of us she is the most powerful. When she was alive, she had very powerful witch parents, before they died, they both gave her their power, making her even more powerful.
