We were down to 23 days. When I said we needed a break, we really did.

Bianca and Madeline have been doing better, and they promised to tell us information soon, they just have to make sure everything is safe. We waited a few days in our dorms trying not to run into Luna.

Whenever we went to class, we kept quiet. We focused on our own safety for a little while.

It was hard to focus in class when I had so much on my shoulders. Not just me, but all of us.

Ever since the dinner party, we've all kept to ourselves. Not saying much just going along with our daily lives.

Drew and I haven't talked much. He's been taking care of Bianca. I'm fine with that because she needs him right now. Madeline has been doing good. Delilah helped her navigate throughout the week.

It seemed like we were all doing our own thing. Ashley and Maya went back to the room in the library but still didn't find anything. Nothing. It seemed like now we were running out of time but we have to keep trying.

If we couldn't find the wood hive in 23 days, not only will I dissolve into thin air but my friends will be stuck here. We needed to get it together again. We can't slack at this point.

Last period ends and I make my way up the stairs to the dorms when Ashley comes out of nowhere and grabs my hand.

"Hazel!" She screams.

"What?!"

Ashley looked like she was about to puke and she pulled me to the clinic.

We arrived and Kira was still there. "Hazel I just got some bad news." I look at her. "What?" She glances at Kira who was sleeping. "I put the pieces together and if Kira didn't push off those guards last week, she would've been thrown into one of the cells. That's why there were three cells and only two were used. The third one was for Kira."

I gasp and stare at Kira. "Seriously?" She nods her head nervously and adds, "The guards were trying to drug Kira to make her fall asleep so she would be easy to throw into the cell without her fighting back." I felt like I was going to cry.

Kira could've ended up like Bianca and Madeline. "Why though?"

Ashley shrugs. "I'm not sure but we have to keep Kira safe. We need to take her back to the dorms."

Ashley carefully starts to pick Kira up who was sleeping.

We run down the hall with Kira in Ashley's arms and get to the dorms as fast as possible.

I knock the door open and see Drew, Delilah, Bianca, and Madeline.

"Guys we have to tell you something." Ashley says as she sets Kira down on the bed. "What happened?" Delilah asks as she rushes others to Kira.

"We had to save Kira from Luna." I state.

We all stare at Kira who was still asleep. "Why? What's up with Luna?" Madeline asks.

"If we didn't save Kira, she could've been thrown into the cell you guys were in."

Bianca sighs. "That's not good," I nod my head. "So we need to keep her here so she doesn't get taken." I say staring at Bianca.

"We also need to get back on our grind or else we'll never find the wood hive." Ashley says.

Maya and Eli walk in and look at Kira. "What's happened?" Eli asks.

Ashley explains to them everything and soon we all felt like we were going to be sick.

"We really need to visit that psychic to get that pendulum." Maya says.

"Why?" Bianca asks.

"So we can find the wood hive and kill Luna." She replies.

Bianca and Madeline stare at each other and nod their heads. They looked like they were talking without actually talking. Talking with their eyes in a way. "We might have an idea of where the wood hive weapon and spell is." My eyes light up. "Where?"

"The only thing we know is that it's buried back in Luna's room. Behind one of her paintings." We all stare at each other, thinking. "Are you sure?" Drew asks. "Yes Drew. Madeline and I hear stuff in the walls about them talking about it. The only problem is there's paintings all over her dorm so there's a lot to check."

We all sit there for a minute, thinking. Finally Maya says, "Hazel you'll have to talk to Luna."

"Are you crazy Luna will tear her face off!" Bianca says staring at me.

Bianca and Madeline didn't know that my soul was connected to my necklace. They didn't know anything.

"Bianca I can't really die because my soul is connected to my necklace." I point to my necklace and she stares. "Oh,"

"How?" She asks, confused.

So I explain everything to her and Madeline. How I can't die unless my necklace is shattered, us only having 23 days to kill Luna or I'll die completely due to my spell with the other side.

Once I finished, we all sat there. "Wow," Bianca says. "So you're in some deep shit."

I nod my head in agreement. "We all are,"

She sighs. "Sorry to hear that." I shake my head. "No need to apologize." She sighs again then looks at Maya. "What if Hazel distracts Luna by talking to her while we break into her room and try to find the wood hive with the pendulum that we might get?"

We all share looks at each other but finally Maya says, "Sounds solid. Let's do it." We all started nodding our heads in agreement and soon we were all talking all at once.

"Tomorrow we'll go to the psychic and try to get our hands on a pendulum. Then we handle our plan with Luna. Sounds good?" We all nod and head out to go get some dinner in the dining hall.
