> Rachel, get a bus into town and meet me outside your swimming pool. Now.
> Don't question it, please just trust me. I have to talk to you about something really important.
> Also, have you chosen what college to go to yet? If so, its not an issue but I will need their contact details.
> Sorry about all this, but it has to be done. You'll know soon, so please trust me. Thanks.

I frown at the list of texts that cover my screen. It is late in the afternoon the next day, and I had only woken up a few hours ago in accordance to my slightly late night. About 50 million questions appear within my brain, but he says to trust him so, like the fool I am, I do.

> Um sure? I'll be there in 20 mins hang on

No reply.

20 minutes later, and I am standing at the bus stop close to the pool entrance. I slide my teardrop charm along the chain nervously, wondering where on earth Matty is. Actually, it's starting to feel like he set me up, and I'm on the verge of tears when he comes running out from behind the row of houses opposite me. He slows down to a steady stroll, and meanders over to me in a brooding way.

"Matty?"

"Hey."

"What's going on?"

He glances nervously over his shoulder, as if being followed, then grabs my hand and takes me inside. Its the familiar scent of chlorinated water that hits my nostrils. Matty recoils slightly, as if the scent is painful to him, but then he shakes it off. He pays for a wristband, (I scan my club card) and he leads me towards the changing rooms.

"Okay, go get changed, I'll meet you in the hidden jacuzzi area."

"Matty-"

"Please Rach, I promise I will tell you everything as soon as I can."

I obey, huffing as I push open the door to the girls changing area. I shove my bag into a locker and find a cubicle to strip off in. It's really busy in the late afternoon, with lots of mother's herding springing children around in fluffy white towels as schools have recently finished for the day. I see a woman walking out of one with a gym bag in one arm and a toddler bawling in the other. She looks tired and grimaces at me in an exasperated but happy way. I smile back. Then wave at the child who stops bawling to giggle at my hand. I chuckle to them both as he is carried off.

I quickly slip into the changing room that the woman had left, slide the lock shut and turn, dumping my bag onto the bench. My mind runs through about 300 different scenarios as my body automatically changes outfits for itself. What did he need to talk to me about? Was it just about my college? Had I done something wrong? My mind automatically jumps to thinking of every little bad thing I have ever done so I leave the changing rooms a lot more stressed out than when I entered them. I take a deep breath, then head out through the showers to the pool.

What's going to happen next? What one earth is Matty going to tell her,  and why is he being so secretive to her when he usually is so relaxed?  The next chapter will reveal all...maybe ;)
If you are enjoying this so far, or think that it needs changing, comment because criticism will really help me. Thanks guys, ~Jedi Rose
