Once we made it back to the house, Landon carried me all the way upstairs. It made me feel so small but, also safe and protected like he always made me feel. We both noticed right away that his mother wasn't here, who I was really going to miss but, Landon assured me that we would visit. When we reached his room, well I guess our room. He set me down on the bed gently and cupped my cheek before kissing me slowly.
I returned the kiss instantly with a smile until he pulled away, "I really am proud of you." he said, before pecking my lips again making me grin.
I've definitely never felt so happy in my entire life. It was like the ball and chain that was tied to my ankle for all those years. Was gone and it was never going to be seen again. Now it was just Landon, me and our future.
"I've gotta shower, I'll be out right now okay?" he said with a small smile, and I nodded.
As he turned away walking towards the bathroom he grabbed his shirt from the back of his neck and pulled it over. I looked away still not being used to seeing him. But, I noticed he was just standing there before he turned around meeting my confused gaze.
"Shower with me." he stated with a blank stare, my eyes widening.
'You heard the man!' Mia shouted excitedly.
Landon probably heard it because, he tilted his head downwards with a cheeky smile. I was still focused on the "shower with me" part and was shocked by the fact that he asked. Was I really ready to show him all of me. When I only just worked up enough courage to show him what I did. My face probably looked pretty comical, wide eyes and mouth.
Landon lifted his head to look at me, "It's completely up to you." he gave me a soft smile before turning around, walking further into the bathroom.
I could just feel my face growing red. He wanted me to shower with him, what if he doesn't like what he sees. Yes, he did call me perfect out there in the river but, he didn't see me naked. This time he'd see everything. The water could be heard as he turned it on.
'He also said he loves us.' Mia mentioned making me grin at the memory.
Landon did love me, someone actually loves me, no less my mate. I sighed, my heart beat was increasing with every passing moment. Was I really going to do this, it would be such a huge step.
Plus, I'd finally see all of him as well, which made me more than nervous. But, I do love Landon and I trust him. And not to mention I stood in front of my biggest tormentors and forgave them with all my being. If I could do that, I felt like I could do anything. I recited words Landon has praised me with over and over to give myself more motivation.

When I wrapped the white towel around my nude body I slowly walked into the bathroom. The glass from the shower already fogged up from the steam. But, I could still make out his tall silhouette running his hands through his hair.
