|23| Rumours spread like wildfire!

One of the disadvantages of being a celebrity is that your private life becomes a public property. Be it in the entertainment industry or business world, the paparazzi keeps on following the popular celebrities to get any piece of news from their private life and make it public for all the people to read and gossip about in the social media platform, online tabloids, news channels, entertainment magazines and so on.

Most importantly, what is to be noted is that all the information which is spread amongst the people, involving the personal life of any celebrity may not always be true. The paparazzi spread rumours, intentionally, in order to gain TRPs.

Virat and Anushka weren't spared either in this regard. The day Virat left for his conference, the social media became rife with the photographs his and Anushka. His followers and fans retweeted those photos again and again, resulting in those to become viral within a minute or two. In no time, Anshul and Arav got to know about it as their fans started mentioning them in those tweets. Virat's parents came to know about it too when they received numerous calls from the news channels, asking them about whether Virat and Anushka were dating each other for real.

Initially, Anushka had no idea about what was happening. She was busy in attending classes at her university. It was only when she heard her phone vibrating, with hundreds of new messages from Giya and Anshul that she excused herself and came out of the class to call them back.

As soon as Anushka came out of the class, she called back Anshul at first. When she heard the ringing tone, her heart started beating fast. She was not able to understand what must have happened that led Anshul and Giya to call her so many times at once and leave hundreds of text messages, asking her to call back in each one of them.

Putting an end to Anushka's misery, Anshul recieved her call immediately. Anushka felt as if Anshul was waiting for her to call him back.

"You okay?", Anshul asked Anushka as soon as he recieved the call. He was worried for his little sister. He didn't know that Anushka had no idea about what was happening. He forgot that his sister wasn't active on the social media as she liked to maintain a private life.

"What will happen to me? I am fine. Bhai, you tell me about what is wrong with you? Both of you have called me so many times. Is anything wrong? Are mom and dad okay? Is Virat okay?" Anushka was confused. To top it all, Anshul's question made her nervous and worried too.

"Ugh! Mom and dad are fine. So is Virat. Haven't you got the news Nushki?" Anshul asked. Only now did he realise that his sister didn't have the slightest idea of what was happening.

"No, I don't. Please bhai, for god's sake! Tell me what is wrong. What news are you talking about?" Anushka became more and more frustrated with each passing minute.

"Nushki, I-I don't know what to say. Actually, there are some pictures of you and Virat which has gone viral on all the social media handles alike. Our parents as well as Virat's parents have come to know about your relationship with Virat. Dad is very angry and is not ready talk with you at all. Mom and I have tried explaining about it to him but he wasn't ready to listen to anything." Anshul said.

"Wha-what pictures are you talking about bhai? Virat and I haven't told anyone about our relationship except for our group. How is it possible for people to find pictures of us being together then?" Anushka wasn't able to understand what just happened. Never did she, in her wildest dreams, had imagined that her personal life would be made public just like that. She was someone who had always been careful about safeguarding her personal life even though she belonged to one of the most famous families of Bollywood.

To make the matter worse, Anushka's parents as well as Virat's parents, came to know about their relationship from the social media, instead of them. Anushka knew that her family didn't share a cordial relation with Virat's family because of the fight which had happened between her father and Virat's father.
