"It's been one week. One week, and you've managed to catch feelings?" Yamaguchi whistled and I frowned slightly, nodding.
"I'd actually say that's an achievement. You've never caught feelings for anyone before, let alone in a single week.""I didn't catch feelings in one week! I realised I had feelings over the span of an entire week, stupid." I grumbled, making Yamaguchi laugh. I was back in Sendai, sat in the old cafe we went to as kids and later on in high school for our weekly meetings. Why was I trying go defened my stupid crush again?
"He's nice." Was all I could mumble for my reason on why it was Kuroo."Well, from that photo I can safely assume he likes you back." Yamaguchi grinned, raising his eyebrows at me and making me grumble yet again.
"I'm going to kill Hinata next time I see him. That was so embarrassing.." I groaned uncharacteristically as my head dropped into my hands, to which Yamaguchi laughed at.
"Aw no don't kill Hinata! Kageyama will be out for your blood if you do that." Yamaguchi laughed, taking a bite of the cake he'd bought.
"Besides, the picture wasn't all that bad. At least you were both still fully dressed." He grinned slightly at me, making me blush slightly again as I slammed my head against the table.
"Tsukki-!""Shut up Tadashi." I grumbled, lifting my head slightly to rest in my arms in defeat. I heard Yamaguchi giggle in response, nibbling his cake once again.
"You should try eavesdropping on Kuroo-san and Bokuto-san some more, you might find out who Kuroo-san likes. I bet ¥500 it's you though." Yamaguchi hummed as I raised my head back up to glare at him, fixing my glasses. "And if it is you, ask him out. Your life is quite dull you know, you should do something to make it more interesting... And I'll be here with ice cream if he, for some reason, turns you down!
It sounded entertaining, and I have always been curious as to what they talked about while I wasn't there. Sometimes I'd come home and it seemed the two had been mid-conversation, as they'd quickly started talking about something stupid like Kenma's latest stream. We liked spamming them sometimes.
"Fine. I'll be your spy."
"Eh? Don't make it sound like I'm the only curious one!" He laughed, waving his arms around. That made me crack a grin and I chuckled, nodding.
"It really sounds like you are though." I teased, making us both chuckle.
The conversation remained pleasant and light from then on until eventually I had to leave. On the train ride home I thought about his idea and decided that yeah, I would definitely try listening in to Bokuto and Kuroo's secret conversations because 1. I'm nosy, and 2. I'm rightfully curious.
I looked up as the train reached my stop and I got off, starting the walk back to the apartment building. I'd have to be as quiet as possible coming into the apartment in case they were talking about something and, even though I was used to having to go in quietly (due to late lectures and the rare nights I'd meet with my old schoolmates), I never liked it. It felt too sneaky, though I suppose this time it really would be for something shifty.I shook my head to clear my thoughts, reaching the apartment and very quietly unlocking the door. I muffled the obvious clicking noise with my jacket, opening the door slowly and peeking my head in. I could hear Bokuto and Kuroo talking about something, though I couldn't understand what exactly they were saying so I had to slowly inch closer.
What was I even doing? I must've looked like such a fool, sneaking around my own apartment like that. However, as I finally got closer I could make out what they were saying."...and that's when I told Akaashi to watch it and he was all 'I already have Bokuto-san, I was the one who recommended it to you' in that beautiful voice of his and- I think I might've fallen in love with him all over again dude. He's perfect."
Oh of course, Bokuto is simping over Akaashi. I felt a pang of sympathy for Kuroo as he had to deal with it, yet didn't make myself known. If the conversation really was just going to be about how much Bokuto adored Akaashi, then sure I'd walk in, but I'd read enough books to stay where I was for the moment.
