[Tsukishima]
I drew my fingers through my still-damp hair which had only gotten more soaked on the walk from the car as it had been raining. Kuroo held two boxes of rice in front of me which honestly just looked the exact same, but he swore they were different. Kuroo's bedhair had not gone unscathed in the short distance we had to walk and was currently flat on his head, which didn't help me in whole 'try to find him less attractive' department.
"Which one is cheaper?" I asked after giving no answer. Kuroo groaned and shook the one in his right hand.
"This one. But there's more in the left." He grumbled, shaking his head. "I suppose the left is better for value but we've only got so much money.."
"For the love of God Kuroo just get both, you know Bokuto eats like a horse anyway." I shook my head, making him frown lightly.
"Fine, you're starting that job soon right? You're gonna need it if you're so intent on wasting money like this." Kuroo raised his brows at me and I scowled back, dipping slightly as he suddenly dropped both the rices in the basket.
"If you're that mad about the rice put one back.. Jesus." I shook my head at how dramatic Kuroo could be, following behind him as he left to find more things on our list.
"But yeah, my job starts soon. It's apparently a good pay so it should cover my part of the rent fine.""Can I just say I totally called that you'd work in that cafe? Me and Bokuto had a bet. I won cause I know our precious kouhai better." Despite being shorter, Kuroo took that opportunity to ruffle my hair so I huffed at him in response.
"No you only won because Bokuto never got round to asking his manager about the job at the corner shop." I rolled my eyes, glancing over his shoulder at the list before getting some bread off the nearest shelf.
"I literally never applied for anywhere else. It was lucky.""Winner by default then, happy?" Kuroo smirked, swapping the bread I'd picked for a different one.
"Cheaper.""Wonderful."
We continued down the aisles, picking out things for the shopping list and teasing eachother about various things. Spending time with Kuroo was always nice because no matter how big he talked I could always call him a shortie and I'd immediately win. Being six foot something or other really did help in the long run.
We finally made it to the end of the list, but Kuroo wanted to use self-checkout despite me telling him it would take forever or wouldn't work.Surprise surprise, we were stood at the self-checkout for half an hour.
"Kuroo! When you scan it you need to put it down and leave it! You know this!" I pinched the bridge of my nose under my glasses in exasperation. Kuroo just gave me a small smile which admittedly made my heart flutter a little.
"Ehh.. I forget?"
"Bullshit." The curse came out and I cringed a little. Kuroo shook his head, knowing how I didn't really like saying curses out loud.
"Sorry Tsukki."
I paused, suddenly getting deja vu at his words. Yamaguchi, I was visiting him soon. I should probably ask where we were going to meet up."It's fine, just get it right this time or I swear to God I'll leave you here."
Kuroo laughed, making my head feel fuzzy for a moment before things went back to normal.
"Hey Tsukki, wanna bake a cake when we get back?"Our apartment had enough cake with Bokuto there, but I chose not to say that.
"Sure- wait. Do I need to run and grab the ingredients?" I groaned involtarily at the thought of having to navigate through the supermarket again. I was never good with directions, which sucked.
