When Maxon finally finishes working he comes to find me in my room so he can take me to the garden. "Ready my darling?" Maxon asks. "Yes your royal husbandness, " I say with a curtsy. I put my arm around his and we head out to the garden. "I love the gardens, " I say with an exhale. "I know, " Maxon states. I wrap my arms around his neck, loosely so I don't strangle him, and I rest my head against his chest and look out at the beautiful sunset. He wraps his arms around me holding me close. A moment later I hear this weird noise. "What was that, " I ask Maxon. His arms loosen around me. I look at Maxon. I hear more of that same noise. Maxon falls to the ground. "Maxon!" I exclaim I kneel next to him. Shoot he's been shot in the side. That noise was gunshots. I see people running out of the forest. "Maxon are you okay?" I ask panicked. "Go inside, " Maxon struggles to say. "I'm not leaving you, " I tell him. I grab under his arms and start pulling him inside. I'm grunting a lot, stupid dress stupid shoes. "Maxon you'll be okay, " I tell him. Maxon tries to protest against me dragging him. I don't listen. All of a sudden I remember that there are rebels coming for us. "REBELS THEY ARE COMING!!!!" I scream over and over again. The guards all rush outside and start firing back. One of the guards comes to ask me if I'm okay. I am but obviously, Maxon isn't! The guard can't help me get Maxon to the safe room because he has to find his place. I hear someone scream that there was a rebel inside the palace. I open one of the small safe rooms in the hall and drag Maxon in there. The door shuts and we are safe. I kneel beside Maxon. "Maxon is it bad?" I ask. "Do you need stitches." I unbutton his shirt and use that to try to clean the wound with. He's going to need stitches I can't just let him keep bleeding. "Maxon?" I ask. "Yes?" he replies. "Do you trust me?" I ask. He nods. I look around the room for a first aid kit and I found it. It has just what I need pain medications and a needle and thread. Not too long after I finish. I help him sit up. "Thank you, " he says. "You're crazy. you know that?" he says. I smile. "Does it hurt?" I ask. "Surprisingly it's not that bad, " he tells me.
