ROSIES POV

Fred and I were in Honeydukes after my embarrassing mental breakdown and i hadn't said anything. Fred was walking back with two Butterbeers and a stupid grin plastered on his face.

"You ordered a cold Butterbeer?"

"I don't get cold easily, maybe it's just the snake in me." I nudged his arm and laughed. We talked about how he and George wanted to open their own joke shop in Diagon Alley and told me all about his new products. I enjoyed listening people talk about themselves not vice versa. I was smiling whilst he was explaining the concept of Skiving Snack Boxes and how their mother always scolds their dream.

"Well i think they are a brilliant idea, you should have a sweet that on one end would be the cause and then the other would be the antidote, much more efficient if you ask me." I sipped the cold butterbeer. Fred stared at me in shock.

"Tut tut is a prefect really helping to break he school rules?"

"You seem shocked"

"You have amazing ideas, maybe you could help with designing the logo or something or you could come and work for us!"

I shrugged, "Well i wasn't exactly planning on becoming a personal assistant after school" I said with a chuckle.

"What are you planning on doing?"

"Probably work up to Head Auror at the ministry, my father hates the idea of it but that's exactly why i want to do it, if not an Auror then possibly a Bludger for the Bulgarians, Father hates Qudditch."

I sighed when I remembered that my father wanted me to become the Minister or Head of Department of Magical Law Enforcement. I could hear that Fred went silent, probably feeling sorry for me, which i hated. I cleared my throat, i lifted my gaze from the table to find Fred already looking at me, no doubt in pity.

He took another sip of his butterbeer and a white foam mustache formed on his upper lip, I couldn't help but giggle and started laughing uncontrollably at him. He yanked a spoon off the table and looked at his reflection and with haste and very red ears he wiped the foam off with his jumper sleeve. He soon joined in with the laughter. We settled down after receiving off looks from some random seventh years and sixth years.

"So what are your plans for Christmas," I felt my throat tightening and a frown land on my face.

"I haven't celebrated Christmas in like ten years so probably nothing, as usual." Fred practically spat out his mouthful of liquid and started at me in shock, i shifted in my seat uncomfortably.

"What? That's like the best holiday! Why not?" I smiled at his sudden outburst.

"My father is always busy with work so i never get around to it."

"This is unacceptable, Wagner! You have to spend Christmas with me- i - uh mean us at the Burrow!"

"The what?"

"The burrow!" He pulled me off my seat, flung a few coins onto the bar and started walking outside, dragging me along.

"Where are we going?"

"We are going to send off a letter to my mum to tell her you're coming for Christmas!"

"Woah, wait." I stopped dead in my tracks, Fred froze at my hesitation.

"I do not want to put your mother in a position where she is forced to make a decision." Taking a step back shaking my hands in the air.

"Oh done be dumb! Mum loves when we bring friends home, besides Ginny will be coming back with us and you can meet Charlie and Bill!" I gave him a puzzled look that then turned into a wide grin and i nodded.

THIRD PERSON POV (THIS PART IS SUPER CLICHÉ)

The pair went up to the Owlry and sent off a letter to Mrs. Weasley, Rosie began slipping and sliding a few times but luckily was caught by Fred. They saw that the sun that was begining to set over the Black Lake and decided to watch it for a couple minutes in silence. The orange and yellow skies reflected off of Rosie's blonde hair making her blue eyes stand out along with her dainty freckles.

"How beautiful." she said in a sigh, not taking her eyes off the lake.

"Extremely beautiful" Fred repeated, his gaze was on this beautiful short girl standing next to him. His eyes were skimming along her flawless skin over and over, examining how her cheeks went a deep red and her lips went a light pink due to the cold. The tip of her nose was red as the frost danced her freckles splattered her face creating such uniquness.

"You ok?" Fred was suddenly snapped out of his thoughts. 'Shit' he said in his head.

"Ah ya, want to get back? Dinner is probably starting." She nodded with a bit of disappointment.

They walked back to the castle in a comfortable silence, stealing glances from one another every now and then, Rosie was blushing and smiling at him. Fred was indeed right, students had began to trickle into the Hall and boy did people notice the Slytherin and Griffindor walking in together. They said goodbye to each other and went back to their separate tables.

"Phewwww, seems the bet is going well." George chimed as Fred sat down.

"Yes, about that-"

"You're not backing out are you? Or worse, you actually starting to like her?" Angelina hissed at Fred.

"What, no, of course not, i just thi- Ginny!" Fred tried to advert the conversation.

"What can we do for you?" Lee asked her raising his eyebrows at her.

"Mum just told me!" They all gave her a confused look, "That Rosie is joining us for Christmas! Oh it will be such fun, thank you Fred!" She gave him a quick hug and went back to her friends.

"Fred..." Lee started.

"Care to explain?" George gave him a raised eyebrow and a smirk.

"Oh you dirty dog!" Lee yelped.

"You did this for the bet! Cheers mate!" George seemed over the moon at the thought of winning ten galleons.

"Yeah, for the bet..."

-------------------------------------

Rosie sat down and received dirty glances from her fellow Slytherins.

"UM, WHAT?!" Anna screamed into Rosies ear.

"Nothing, calm down you little energy drink."

"You were smiling, like actually smiling and blushing. Worst off you were smiling and blushing at FRED WEASLEY!" Ace said with in one big breath, his smile growing wider and wider.

"OMG! You have to spill the details!!" Anna said yanking Rosies neck to face her.

"He invited me to Christmas with them, and I'm going." Rosie just smiled. But not a fake smile, it was a lopsided, crooked smile. Ace nudged her in her side which caught the attention of Anna,

"Don't say it!" Rosie warned holding her index finger right up to his nose.

"I. TOLD. YOU. SO!"

"That's it Knox, you're dead." I pounced at him and started ruffling his dark hair and giving him a nuggie on the top of his head. Anna was in full blown laughter, enjoying the scene of pure friendship, chanting Rosies name over and over with her fist wagging vigorously the air. They were shot many judging looks but they didn't have a care in the world.

Across the room a certain Weasley couldn't help but grin at the small Slytherin girl rolling on the ground laughing.
