The Weasley family was super excited, they had opened all their presents except the ones from Rosie.

"Ok, here you go" Molly handed all the gifts out from the bag. She was hesitant on opening the bag, feeling guilty.

Ginny gasped as she got a gold necklace with a 'G' hanging from it. Molly had gotten a pair of pearl earrings, Charlie was chuffed when he unwrapped some Dragon Hide, Fireproof gloves and Bill stared in shock as he got a Golden Persian goose feather quill with his name engraved. Mr Weasley started laughing as he received a book on '101 Uses and functions of the Rubber Duck' and a box full of different rubber ducks. They were truly grateful for Rosie's kindness.

There were no more packages in the bag but an envelope with 'Fred & George' written neatly on the front in Black ink. George opened the envelope, skeptical of the out come. He pulled out a note first and read aloud,

"'Consult not your fears but your hopes and dreams. Think not about your frustrations, but about your unfulfilled potential. Concern yourself not with what you tried and failed in, but what it is still possible for you to do.'"

Everyone seemed to ponder every single one of her words, guilt creeping in at the bottom of Freds and George's stomach. George then gasped and dropped the envelope. Fred gave a look and reached for the piece of parchment.

"Bloody hell!" He shouted.

"What is it?" Charlie asked, Fred then cried out,

"A check! A check for five hundred galleons! Oh Georgie! It's going to happen, we are going to get our Shop!" Fred then tackled his brother to the floor laughing and smiling chanting, as the rest of the family smiled at the sight whilst Molly burst into tears of joy.

"It's a Christmas Miracle!" Arthur shouted embracing his family thankful that the Little Slytherin had walked into their lives, not noticing the guilt on his children's faces.

ROSIES POV

Two days after I arrived I entered the hall, 'enough sulking' I thought to myself brushing through my blonde hair. I still had my arm bandage , the pain was now tolerable.

The great hall was not that full, I was the only one from Slytherin. The Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Griffindor tables chatted lively showing off their presents they had received. I was twisting he gold ring on my finger on my left index finger staring blankly at it when someone came and sat opposite me. I looked up and met the eyes of a smiling Cedric.

"Hey, I didn't know you were here, what happened to your arm and your face?" He said. A plate of food appeared in front oh him along with a goblet.

"I came back two days ago actually and I fell" He raised hie eyebrow at me in a questioning manor, Suddenly two figures sat down on either side of me.

"What are you doing here, you're supposed to snogging Rons brother under a mistletoe, what happened to you?" Harry's voice echoed throughout the hall and we received  glances. I shifted uncomfortably in my seat and looked at a now very pale Cedric, he got up and left with a frown on his face. I sighed and shook my head.

"Yeah well, glad you did't bet on it" I snapped at Ron and Harry. I think it clicked with Harry cause his smile faded, "What?" Ron asked looking at Harry's reaction.

"Oh i thought you would know by now, considering that shirt is new, your jeans are not faded and you have replaced the souls on your shoes." Ron's and Harrys mouth gaped open,

"How did you-"

"Im very observant, you have better posture, better posture is caused by one of two things, you are either trying to make yourself look tough for someone or you replaced the soles in your shoes. And considering Hermione is not here, I'm going out on a limb here and say the second reason ." I said bluntly, Harry was sniggering next to shocked Ron, covering his mouth to block the sound of his laughter.

I got up to leave, i went down towards the black lake, my music was playing,I was kicking rocks on the ground as i fumbled muttering curse words under my breath. I stopped at the edge of the lake and stared at the still waters. A hand wrapped around my waist and I  immediately turned jumped forward expecting to fall again but a pair of strong arms held me tightly.

My Walker fell out of my hands and fell onto the cold pebbled beach.

"You really need to stop falling" Cedric laughed as he hesitantly let go of my waist. I laughed at him,

"Trust me, i know" I smiled at him. He bent down and picked up my Walker, "It's cracked" My smile dropped, "But nothing a little magic can't fix" He winked at me making me turn beetroot red. I stood in front of him as he tapped the box with his wand, he handed it back to me.

"Sorry about leaving so abruptly" His hand reached to scratch the back of his neck, "It's ok" I whispered.

"Are you alright, you kinda looked upset"

"Eh, Twats, plural" I replied, shrugging. Cedric barked with laughter at my comment, "You really know how to make someone laugh, Rosie" I chuckled, "But seriously Rosie" He stopped laughing and had his hand on my right upper arm.

"They made a bet with one of their friends to see if i would fall for Fred and I'm ashamed to say that I did but then i found out so i went home and then i had to come here so it's been really stressful." I said in one long big breath. I looked up at Cedric who had pity smeared all over his face. "Honestly, I'm glad it happened." I said still looking at him, his hand had now slipped into mine, it didn't feel right, it didn't feel the same when Fred had done it.

"Why's that?"

"It reminded me that happy endings don't exist." I looked down at my feet and let my right hand slip out of his. He sighed, "Well, i don't fancy freezing out here, even if it means I can stay and look at your pretty face" He chuckled and swung his arm around my shoulders, careful not to hurt my left arm.

We walked back to the castle, he didn't drop his arm, he pulled me in closer to help me balance myself whilst walking up the stairs. I laughed, he was a very fun guy to be around, and i really enjoyed his company but i couldn't help but feel like something or someone was missing.

I spent the rest of the holidays either in the Library studying, with Cedric or with Harry and Ron (Mostly Harry), we had gotten closer and i couldn't help but feel protective over him as if he was my brother. He was easy to talk to, I trusted him and he trusted me, he and Ron caught me up on the Serious Black issue, which was morbidly uncomfortable. It was a nice change to talk to 'the youth' (that is what I normally called them) almost refreshing. Fred and the bet didn't come up once and i was grateful to Harry for not mentioning it. I had gotten my bandage off and i was feeling better.

Sure enough the start of term was drawing closer, Harry and I had agreed not to talk to each other in public, i guess he didn't want to get the piss taken out of him for talking to a Slytherin.

"Don't worry Harry, If i was in your position, i would ask the exact same thing" was the last thing i said to him.

"ROSIE!" Anna jumped onto me, "oh I missed you so much, you have no idea!"

"Its been two weeks!" Ace called from behind her. I hugged them both tightly in front of the maroon train. When we pulled away i looked at my two best friends standing side by side, fingers intertwined with one another. Anna looked happy, like truthfully happy and Ace, well Ace was Ace. I raised my eyebrows and put my hand to my chest leaning backwards. I looked at Ace, and bit my bottom lip trying to hide my smile,

"Don't you dare say it." He was smiling uncontrollably.

"I TOLD YOU SO!" I yelled and took off in a sprint in the opposite direction hearing Ace catching up to me, I heard the tinkling of Anna's laugh as she also ran after us. We all stopped and fell on a pile on the floor, cackling with laughter, eventually our stomachs hurt and we had tears in our eyes.

THIRD POV

A beautiful scene of friendship unfolded as The Weasley Clan stepped off the train, Fred heard Rosie's laugh and spun his head around. She was happy, happier than she was at the Burrow. Fred was frowning watching the Tom Foolery continue.

"C'mon mate" George pulled Fred away from his thoughts towards the carriages.
