"He's a handful. But, he means a lot to me..."

"Come on, Leon! Let's play ninja!"

"Ada... Wait for me!"

A new day; Friday to be precise. The ever-changing shenanigans within the Raccoon City daycare were bound to commence at some point- How unfortunate that the poor babysitter didn't see it coming five minutes into the day. Don't get the young woman, (Y/N) (L/N), wrong, she loved her job. Though, it was undeniable that the small bundles can be quite a handful a number of times.

Comparative to yesterday's workload, today was sure to be the cherry on top of the hustle (Y/N) committed herself to. The minute she turned her back in assisting little Helena Harper with her reading, Piers Nivans was soon tugging at the hem of her skirt, tears in his glossy, brown eyes. An almost immediate response came into focus--

"Jake! What did I tell you about hitting Piers?!"

Kneeling beside the boy, clad in an olive green sweater, (Y/N) pulled a bandaid out of her apron pocket, pressing it against little Piers' cheek, the young boy's sleeve gliding over his eyes ever so innocently. The woman couldn't help but emit an exasperated sigh.

"Troublesome boy... He needs to learn how to use his words instead of his hands..."

Taking Piers into her arms, she pulled him into a fragile embrace, patting his back with an even more delicate hand. The poor Nivans child was quite the baby of the entire group; (Y/N) always giving him the most attention and care of the other eight. But with each child came their own unique personalities-- Or so their babysitter always believed so.

Chris was the leader, but also a thoroughly obvious momma's boy. It wasn't uncommon that he and his sister, Claire, would arrive late to daycare because of him. But, his integrity and kindness made up for it. He always took over during clean-up time and was the group designated "captain" during team-building exercises. Sure he would sometimes sneak in candy for Piers and himself, but (Y/N) found it more endearing than punishable. Piers always looked up to Chris, following him around like a little puppy.

Upon observation, (Y/N) noticed little Chris had a rather sour attitude whenever her boyfriend came to visit in the afternoons; though, that seemed to be the case for almost all the kids.

Leon, on the other hand, was a classic charmer; Always happy-go-lucky, fueled by humor, helpful, and loyal as could be; it was easy to say many of the kids adored his presence. Despite the rivalship Chris and he withheld, he was a good kid that never liked to intentionally pick fights. He also never could stop himself from following that little Ada Wong around- Sometimes into dangerous situations involving tree climbing and sneaking out into the daycare's garden. Easy to say he had a minuscule crush on the clever girl.

Helena was the outcast of the kids, much to (Y/N)'s vexation. Much of the time, Helena insisted she liked being alone, despite (Y/N) trying to involve her in daily entertainment activities. Leon was the only one who can get her to open up at the very least. Perhaps it was the older sibling complex that made her personality such way.

Sherry was the actual baby of the group, Jill and Claire the inseparable duo. From the likes of it, Sherry wanted nothing more than to spend time with Jake- The only child who can soften the Wesker child's hardened exterior. Was it silly to believe (Y/N) was jealous of Sherry? A grown woman, envious of a little girl for being able to grow so close to someone.

"Jake, come here. Now."

In all truthfulness, the sitter loathed confronting Jake every single time he decided to act up. His father was her boyfriend- Who wouldn't want their significant other's children to get along with them? With each passing argument, the woman was certain Jake was beginning to hate her more and more.
