"I am inevitable."A 'ting" was heard from everyone, all worrying about what was going to happen. Nothing ever came.
"I am Iron Ma-"
The sentence was cut off.
"Peter! No!" Tony shouted. Peter dodged Tony's grab.
"I'm not losing you!" Peter shouted.
"I can't lose you again, Peter!" Tony shouted back.
"I'm sorry," Peter said. The nanotech closed in around the stones. Peter screamed as the power coursed through him.
"Peter!" Tony shouted, tears coming to his eyes.
"I am Spider-Man!" Peter said.
He snapped.
Thanos and his army turned to dust as half of the universe once was. Peter dropped to the ground. Tony ran over to him. Pepper followed him with Rhodey and Natasha.
"Hey," Peter said weakly.
"Peter," Tony whispered. He was crying now.
"It's okay," Peter soothed.
"I can't-I can't lose you again," Tony said, choking on his words.
"Mr. Stark, Tony, Dad. It's okay," Peter said again.
"Why?" Tony asked.
"I just wanted to be like you," Peter said.
"You were better," Tony told him.
"I love you, Peter," Tony said.
"I love you, Dad," Peter whispered. Pepper had to pull Tony away from Peter.
"Hey Mom," Peter said, his voice getting smaller and smaller. Pepper got tears in her eyes.
"Oh Peter, you are the bravest person I ever met. And the strongest. I hope you survive, but if you don't, that's okay. You can rest now," Pepper said. Peter nodded weakly. He watched through half closed eyes as everyone got on their knees and knelt to him. A god, a king, a princess, powerful beings all knelt to a 15 years old kid. A small smile played across his lips. He closed his eyes and let the darkness consume him. Tony sobbed.
Peter opened his eyes to a white world. He saw all of his family members standing across a fence. He whispered each of their names.
"Peter," Gwen said. He walked over to the fence. Peter's eyes were getting teary.
"Peter, we are in heaven. You are in the in between," Ben said.
"You can choose to die or to live," May said. Peter made a move to them but Mary stopped him.
"Listen to us though. You need to think. Who needs you more?" She asked. Peter thought for a second and said, "The team." Mary nodded.
"Survive, Peter. Survive for us. Survive for them," Gwen said.
"They need you," Richard said. Peter nodded. He turned around. Then he looked back on last time and waved. They waved back, all teary eyed, proud of their boy. Peter took a deep breath and walked over the border line. Darkness consumed him once more.
Soon he heard the beep of a monitor. He could see, couldn't feel, couldn't smell. He could only hear. He could hear the quiet sobs of other people. He heard the creak of the door opening. Tony's voice spoke up.
"W-What's wrong?" He asked.
"He's in a coma," a sad female voice spoke. Peter heard gasps. And sobs. Gasps and sobs.
