The Plan

The next morning I woke up cuddled next to Kade. I remember everything that happened last night, and don't regret any of it. A little after I woke up, Kade woke up.

¨Im sorry,¨ he said and got up.

¨For what?¨ I asked, he did nothing wrong.

¨I shouldn't have slept here, I knew you were all drugged up on pain meds but I did what you asked, I just wanted you to be happy¨

¨Kade, I wouldn't change a thing even if I wasn't on pain meds, so come back here,¨ I said with a smirk.

Kade smiled and crawled back into the hospital bed with me, I didn't realize how happy he made me until I almost couldn't have him. He stayed with me the entire time I was stuck in that hospital, he really does care about me, I thought.

When I was released, he drove us back to the beach house and made us lunch. A little later, the cops showed up to question us. We decided to trap Ben and Henry, lure them back to us so the cops can arrest them. At first Kade wasn't on board with the plan because he didn't want me in danger again, but eventually he agreed when he realized the cops would be right around the corner. The plan was to call Ben and tell him to meet me at the ice cream shop to talk. The cops and Kade would be hiding in the back waiting for the perfect moment. They suspect that Ben will bring Henry with him because they both want to take me, but before they can I have to get a confession out of Henry, then the cops will come out and arrest them both.

That night, Kade and I were laying in bed together just talking. He had his arm wrapped around my waist and my head was on his shoulder. Tomorrow we would put the plan into action, and we hope all goes well.

¨I won't let anything bad happen to you ever again,¨ Kade softly said.

I tilted my head up to him and he kissed me.

¨My night in shining armor,¨ I whispered to him.

¨My beautiful princess,¨ he said.

We layed just like that, and fell asleep before the most stressful day of our lives.

The next morning, we both got ready and Kade stood silent as the phone rang when I called Ben.

¨Hello darling, good to know youre okay,¨ Ben said with a laugh.

¨Ben we need to talk,¨ I said and I glanced up at Kade, ¨meet me at the ice cream shop in a half hour?¨

¨Of course love, Ill see you then,¨ he said then hung up.

Kade took my hands and turned me to face him, he grabbed my waist and pulled me closer to him for a kiss.

As I pulled away I said, ¨Kade everything's going to work out just fine¨

¨I know,¨ he said softly, ¨I just worry about you¨

When I was waiting for Ben at the ice cream shop, Kade was in the back with the cops watching through the cameras. A few minutes pass by and I didn't think Ben was going to show up, but I was wrong. Five minutes late, Ben and Henry walked through the door.

¨Henry, what are you doing here?¨ I acted surprised.

¨I couldn't miss this opportunity to see you again,¨ Henry said.

¨Now what is it you wanted to talk about?" Ben asked.

"First of all, I made a mistake, with both of you," I said.

We continued to talk for a while and I eventually got a confession out of Henry, neither of them seemed suspicous of me, so I thought I was in the clear. All I was waiting for was the cops to come out, but they didn't.

"Sarah, why dont you come with us?" Ben urged.

"No, actually im good here," I said.

Before I could get up, Henry wraped his arm around my neck and Ben pulled me out of my seat. I couldn't breath, Henry was choking me. Where is Kade and the cops, I thought. I tried screaming for help but I couldn't, I tried pulling Henrys arm from my neck but he was too strong. Then, all of a sudden, Kade came bursting through the back door to my rescue. He pushed Ben off of me and whacked Henry with a baseball bat he had found in the back. As soon as Henry let go of me I stumbled and fell to the ground, then the cops came out to arrest them. Kade rushed to my side to make sure I was okay. I could see the tears in his eyes.

"Sarah, im so sorry," he apologised.

"Its fine, im fine, we did it," I said with a small smile, but Kade was still upset.

"No its not okay, you got hurt, and I told you id never let anyone hurt you again, im so sorry"

"This was the last time, I know I'll be safe with you from now on," I told him as I pulled him tords me and kissed him.

"Lets go home," he said.

And we did. We went back to the beach house and ended the day on a good note. We decided to not go back to Wisconsin, where we originally lived. Were going to live at the beach house where were safe and where we can always be together. Were both going to get jobs, and start a new life, together.
