Chapter 10

*later that night at Elena's penthouse*

Elena was waiting for Ben to arrive for there date. 

*knock on the door*

Elena: Hey Ben come on in.

Ben: Thanks. 

Ben walked in with Elena behind him. Ben walked in a bit and turned around and kissed Elena. Elena was a bit shocked but she didn't care. 

Ben: I missed you. 

Elena chuckled a bit awkwardly. 

Elena: same here.

A couple hours pass,  The two had dinner. Now they were sitting on the couch drinking wine. 

Ben: So, hows your business going?

Elena: (sips wine) Oh you don't wanna know.

They both giggled a bit.

Elena: Hows yours going? 

Ben: pretty good but not as much as yours.

They both looked in the eyes of each other, they kissed again.

It was a long kiss, Elena felt safe. She completely forgot about the whole drama about William. in fact, she completely forgot everything in the world. All she could think about was Ben. 

(It happened)

They both were laying on the floor when they started talking.

Ben: well that happened.

Elena: ya I guess it did. 

Elena sat up and was looking into the fireplace with an emotionless face.

Ben: Hey you okay?

Elena looked at him and said.

Elena: Yes, I'm fine. Actually no I'm not. 

Ben: what's wrong?

Elena: It's that, last time I was in a relationship I got my heartbroken. (whispers) now he's stalking me. 

Ben: oh.

Elena: it's just when I'm with you I feel safe. I don't have to deal with any of this crap. 

Ben slowly brushed her face and said.

Ben: you don't need to worry anymore, I'm here for you. 

Elena smiled slightly, But then that smile went away quickly. Elena glanced at the window and saw William standing there with a gun in his hand. 

Elena was scared and worried.  she gasped looking at the window. Ben saw her face and looked at the window and saw nothing...

Ben: what what. 

Elena: William! he was at the window with a gun! 

Ben cupped her face with his hands and said.

Ben: hey calm down okay? no one is there. 

Elena put her head on his shoulder. Ben was brushing her face and hair.  Elena was just staring at the fire. When she just closed her eyes trying to forget about what she just saw.

*the next morning* 

(It was 9:30 pm)

Elena woke up and saw Ben sleeping when she looked at her clock on the wall and saw the time. 

Elena: (Gasp) Crap I'm late! 

Elena quickly rushed and got changed and did her hair. Ben woke up to see Elena rushing. 

Ben: whoo what are you doing?

Elena: I'm late for a meeting. 

Ben: yikes.

Elena: I'll see you later. The spare key is on the table. 

Elena kissed Ben goodbye and left. 

*At her office*

Elena: was basically running to the board room.

Pamala: Elena the buyers are waiting. 

Elena: okay okay I'm going in how do I look?

Pamala: Great now go.

Elena: k thanks. 

Elena walked into the board room, all of the men were staring at her.

Elena: Sorry gentlemen for the wait. 

Elena sat down and all she could think about was Ben. 

Elena: so now where were we?

All of the businessmen were talking about there offers. Elena was not listening she was drifting off.

Men: Ms. Miller?

Elena: oh yes continue.

( The board meeting was over)

Elena: thank you so much gentlemen for your co-operation. I will get back to all of you as soon as possible. 

Elena shook their hands as they left. outside the room were Paul and Pamala. 

Paul: so, what's with the hold-up?
