You woke up with a start in the middle of the night, you had heard a creak in your room but you tried to shake it off as your imagination.
Until you heard it again.

You quickly sat up and looked around, you didn't see much heat anywhere but you looked at your window which was ajar.

'I must've left it open.'

You git up and went iver to the open window and shut it, then of course you locked it. Who knows what kind of creeps are out and about at night? Oh wait, you did.

{Flashback}

You were walking home after a longer shift then usual. At least it felt longer. You had just left the Taco Bell you work at so you can go rest at home. You had decided to go down an alleyway to cut down the time it will take getting home, you knew that you shouldn't do it but you thought you wouldn't be in there long enough for someone to do something to you. No one did anything to you in the alleyway, but someone did follow you home.
That night you had the unsettling feeling that you were being watched, but you shook it off as your imagination. It continued for a few months, you always felt like someone's eyes were burning into your soul but you still brushed it off as just paranoia. One night there was a thump in you apartment, you had woken up and grabbed what was closest to you, the lamp next to your bed. You traveled into the kitchen/dining room first and switched the lights on. You saw nothing, but then you noticed.

The balcony door was open and hitting the wall every few minutes thanks to the wind outside.

You tried to calm yourself by saying that the wind must have blown it open and that there was nothing to worry about, but then you had a hand clasp over your mouth holding a peice of cloth.

You started struggling, dropping the lamp, but you started to feel woozy and tired as you tried to breathe in. You tried to stay awake but you were soon overcome by darkness.

...

You woke up tied to a wooden beam in an unfamiliar concrete room with a metal door in front of you. You started looking around and saw a chair to your right, facing you. You tried to scream for help but you were gagged. You hated this place, you were scared but you tried to calm down and try to figure out what all happened.

You remembered a bang in your apartment, you got up to go look for it and found the balcony door made it and then... It all stopped.

There were footsteps coming towards the door...

{End of flashback}

You woke up with a start. It has been a while since you had that dream. You still hated it. It was your past memories coming to torture you for what many mistakes you had made.
'You shouldn't have ignored the feeling.'
'Why didnt you call the police right after you woke up?'
'So stupid.'
'Now you're dead because of how stupid you were.'
'You shouldnt have gone down that alleyway...'

The voices ran rampant in your mind doing as they please like they usually do. It was normal for you to have them there and insult you, the good ones left long ago and you doubted they were going to come back in Hell, so you have gotten used to the bad ones. At least you were never alone.
You looked at your phone to check the time. '3:12, pretty early. Guess I could take a walk and get some air. Not like anyone is awake at this hour unless they're working late.' Not that you cared anyways. If there was anyone else awake they would probably put you out of your misery. You liked the idea of being free of pain and it all just being over. You didnt have the guts to do it yourself because you could never do that to the others.

You got up and changed into a hoodie and jeans then walked out and down to the lobby, you looked around to see Husk asleep at the bar holding an almost empty bottle of cheap booze and Nifty sitting next to him on one of the barstools with a box of juice. You smiled at them and grabbed a blanket and threw it over them. You then walked outside into the warm hostile air of Hell. You walked around a few blocks and started on your way back when you started to see more demons litter the streets, some already drunk, some smoking, some doing drugs on peices of cardboard, some flirting and offering their services. You had you hood up and tried to bring as little attention towards you as possible, these attempts failed once a random drunk demon walked over to you and started flirting, trying to get in bed with you obviously. You tried to walk past but they blocked you and you were honestly losing your patience. You tried to get them to back off but they only tried even more. After a few minutes the demon grew impatient and grabbed your arm and jerked you toward them, making your good fall down.
The demons eyes widened as they seemed captivated by your shiny (f/c) scaled with (s/f/c) markings. You hissed at them and told them to let you go which they did. You then pulked up your hood once more and ran, other demons staring at you as you turned the corner.
This was why you rarely go out. Many people can be captivated by your scales, they have an alluring effect, an effect that makes almost anyone think they can trust you with anything. Even their lives. You didnt like this power, it made you feel guilty that you were tricking these people into trusting you unconditionally, you didn't want to do that, but you still did. You ran into the hotel and past Charlie and Vaggie who watched you speed up the stairs with a worried look on their faces. You slammed the door to your room behind you and put your back up against the door. You slowly slid down until you were sitting with your back to the door, claws at your sides, and a wave of exhaustion from all the running washed over you. You suddenly got so tired you could barely stand it and just blacked out.

...

You awoke to a knocking on your door and what sounded like Charlie on the other side.
"Are you ok (Y/N)? You seemed kind of upset earlier, do you want to talk about it...?"

You thought for a second then decided to reply.
"No, I'm alright, I was just jogging and then I just wanted to get back quickly before anyone could really notice I was gone. Nothing to worry about."
Charlie stayed silent for a minute.
"Alright, if you need anything just call alright?"
"Alright, thank you Charlie."
"Dont mention it (Y/N)!"
And with that her footsteps faded into nothing.

You stayed there for what seemed like forever, not movong from your spot, until your phone buzzed.
You then got up and walked over and picked it up. You turned it on to see a text message from an unknown number. Something in... Latin? You read it aloud almost instantly regretting it as everything turned black.
