"From That Day"

Chapter 2

'Finally ' .

Akashi thought as he exits his classroom. Since , Akashi didn't joined any club he decided to kill some time in the library. Whispers could hear be heard from the corridors and classes where he passes by . The rednette didn't minded the attention and kept on moving. He stood in front of the library when someone called out.

"Oh , Akashi been awhile " A guy greeted with a blank expression. Akashi immediately knew who it was , Mayuzumi Chihiro , the president of the library committee. The said man invited him for some tea and Akashi agreed to it .

"Yes . So hows things going here " Akashi said as he came inside the library and sat across the table . Mayuzumi brought a tray of tea and some cookies.

"Nothing much . Same as usual."

"I see "

"Did you Read the manual ?" Mayuzumi asked showing him the same stupid manual from yesterday . He kept the book in front of him so the rednette can see it properly .

"No, I didn't. "

"Well , I half expected that. "Mayuzumi said as Akashi gave him a questionable look ."I know ,you think this is stupid"

"And where you can tell it from ? friendship ?"

"Let me guess better....., from experience "

"Seems like you Read the book"

"I did and it's interesting . I was just reading about demons  " Mayuzumi said opening the book before showing him the photo of a demon.The demon was hanged on the cross with chains all over his body. His head was tied up tightly to show his face which were full of fear and pain. But, What caught Akashi's eyes were pair of teal blue eyes of the black haired demon .

"Welcome back ,Seijuro " a beautiful women said opening the door for her son. It was his mother,  Akashi Shiroi . She had beautiful magenta hair and the same coloured eyes. Shiroi was wearing a plain gown with a kneeted brown sweater over it, to keep herself warm .

"I am back, mother ,how are you feeling ?"

"I am fine " Akashi knew it was a lie but he didn't confronted more.Since , His mother doesn't like any conversation/topic regarding her health. And Akashi know it why .

"That's good to hear . "Akashi said calmly . Shiroi smiled gently as she cupped his cheeks . It was warm , the only warmth he loved .(A/N : for now heheheXD).

"What will you have for dinner ?" Shiori asked as Akashi put his coat on the stool nearby.

"There is no need to work yourself up, Mother . I am gonna make dinner." Akashi said as Shiroi frowned when an idea popped in her head .

"Then let's make dinner together "Shiori said smiling happily." I havent cook food for like ages"

"No" Akashi simply said as Shiroi pouted .

"Come on , it's not like I am bad cooker " Shiroi said crossing her arms "or are you saying I am ?"

"It's not like that "

"Then....."

Akashi smiled defeatedly as they both sat making his favourite food , Tofu . Shiori being a clumsy women spilled all the flour on Akashi . Shiroi couldn't help herself but to laugh at her son's shocking face . Akashi wanted to get angry at her . But didn't  because of her mother's cheerful attitude. He looked at her mother's laughing face and smiled unconsciously. He needs to protect that smile , no matter what.

"Let me take a quick bath " Akashi said as Shiori nodded. "Till then, don't do anything rash "

Akashi went upstairs towards his room. He took out a fresh pair of clothes and went inside the bathroom . He didn't want to make his mother wait so , he took a quick shower .Once showering was done ,he start dressing himself. When he was wearing his dark blue sweater a sudden noise stopped him . It sounded like as if some fell down. Akashi immediately tossed his sweater and ran towards the kitchen to find his mother lieing down unconsious.

"Mother , wake up !!!" Akashi called out to his mother but no response came back.

Akashi carried his mother on his back and start running outside towards the nearest doctor ,he could find . He banged the door of every clinic he could find but, Alas no response came back . Akashi could feel himself getting numb from the cold breeze. But stopping was not an option , so he continued banging at the doors .

"Please , help my mother !!!" Akashi yelled desparately.

"We don't accept a devil child!!! " The doctor shouted from the other side as Akashi was dumb founded . How could they let him suffer even though he hasn't anything to them .

That red hair can be only possessed by a demon .

He suddenly remembered the staring and whispers of everyone he passed by .'Ahhh..so it's because of his red hair ', Akashi thought. It's unusual for anyone to have a red born hair . And having one seemed to ominous to everyone . Without thinking further, Akashi took a metal shard that was lieing in the corner and raised his hand to cut down his hair . When suddenly a cold hand held his wrist tightly.

"What do you think you're doing ?" A calm voice said . Akashi looked up to see a tealnette staring down at him with a blank face. His body was hidden by a long black, But it didn't covered his legs as Akashi could see his red barefoot. The rednette blinked for sometime before knowing that the guy standing in front of him looked similar to him .

"Do you think cutting your hair would solve anything ?" The tealentte said loosing his grip a little . Akashi knew that the man standing in front of him is no ordinary man . He could sense it that the tealnette was not a human . He dont know how , maybe because of his eyes that were the similar to the demon he saw in the book.

"Please , help my mother " Akashi pleaded ,after his short daze. He didnt care if he was a demon , witch or anyone . He just wanted his mother to be save . The tealnette glanced at the fallen figure beside him and narrowed his teal eyes before signing loudly.

"Death is not something,I can intervene with " the tealnette said calmly . Akashi eyes almost popped out from his sockets . Death? . His mother is death ?

"I would do anything ..please just save my mother "Akashi said fisting his hand on the snowy ground . The tealnette studied the man silently before speaking up .

"If it's okay with you , I can slow down her time. "Akashi nodded in response . "But what would I get in exchange ?"

"Anything!!!"

"Anything?"
