"Lucas is saying we can get these guys to the hospital without them," Hendery mentioned to the other two agents when he heard the deep voice give an order through his earpiece.
"What about Jisung and Chenle?" Xiaojun asked as he helped Donghyuck into the car. Before going to the very back seats, Hyuck requested Xiaojun's tie, which the boy confusedly loosened from around his neck as he listened to the answer to his question.
Hendery took the keys and spun them on his finger, walking to the driver's side with long strides. "They're probably staying back with Lucas and Ten until backup comes."
He hopped behind the wheel, and Xiaojun took passenger while YangYang piled into the middle seats after Sunhee.
Donghyuck was now tying Xiaojun's tie tightly around the bullet wound on Mark's leg. Sunhee jumped from her seat and knelt on the floor of the car to help. She propped Mark's leg up to make it easier for Hyuck, and blankly watched his tan hands delicately, yet frantically apply aid to his dying best friend.
When the knot was tight, Sunhee carefully placed Mark's leg onto the seat while Hyuck pulled his friend's head into his lap.
Sunhee slipped back into the middle seat and buckled herself in.
"You'd better not die, idiot." Hyuck whispered down to the unconscious man laying in his lap, with bitter concern.
Sunhee zoned out on the way to the hospital. Everything was a blur until the car pulled into the ER entrance. She hopped out and helped put the seat down so Mark could be moved out easily. YangYang followed on his own side, seeing as it was a pretty good idea.
Hendery and Xiaojun lifted Mark onto the stretcher that was put into the car, and helped carefully slide the stretcher out until it was in the hands of the paramedics. Donghyuck was quick to follow right on the tails of the doctors that took Mark inside, and Hendery had to sprint to catch up.
YangYang and Xiaojun locked up the car and escorted Sunhee into the ER at a much slower pace. It wasn't the same safety she felt with her other agents, but it was enough for her.
When they walked through the automatic doors Donghyuck was making a scene in front of the doors to an OR hallway.
"Why can't I come with?" He was ready to fight the doctors that kept him from following Mark's stretcher into the restricted access hallway. No matter how hard he plead, he was only met with firm 'no's and 'I'm sorry's.
"Mark!"
"Please let me in, please."
"He's my best friend."
"Mark!!"
"He can't die."
"Please."
"You can't let him die."
Hyuck was having a meltdown.
Hendery had to pull a hysterical Donghyuck away from the door, which reduced the man to tears. He collapsed into Hendery as a soul ripping sob tore through his throat and shattered the air.
Sunhee couldn't stand watching him break into pieces. Her heart squoze sadly for Hyuck, and she grimaced with every cry that pulled it into her throat further and further.
Two nurses were now trying to get him to calm down, as Hendery tried his best to soothe him through pats on the shoulder and rubs on the back.
Hendery didn't know Donghyuck very well, and wasn't sure exactly what to do in this situation. He wasn't taught how to comfort other agents in the unit. No amount of classwork or training could possibly teach him, so instead he used what he knew as a fellow human being who understood what it was like to break down.
