Title: Cut the slack!
Poem - 1

Inspired by the 1984 Bhopal gas tragedy, India.

2nd December 1984,
A beautiful busy day
People getting ready
Either to go to school or to work
Happily leaving the house
In the hope to secure the loved ones...

Little did they know
It's all going to be a memory
When the clock hit the time
Everything went for a toss
Just left with memories

Never expected by anyone
Some wouldn't see the next morning
Causing the havoc in the midnight
Drifting towards the dawn
Didn't ever think
It would be this worse

Careless and negligence
Caused the thousands to die
To flee from the spot by suffocation
Within the realms of poisonous gas
Neglected as its a minor issue

Turned to be the most disastrous
In the industrial records
A leak in the pipe
Went on to kill the most
If it was not the carelessness
Those who died
Would have lived on happily

Cutting the slack
With an efficient management
One could find anything
And could control the outcome
Of any circumstances
Rather than being a coward
Facing the situation

The water flew back to the gas tank
Making it trigger the effect
Killing the thousands
Disabling the hundreds
Moving it on to the generations
Still haunted by the past

No matter how much ever try
It still remains
The anguish and the peace
Has long gone
Just the bitter remnants
Of past lingers on
Thinking about the future
Trying to keep up
With the, not so reachable smiles

Extra care is always good
Nothing to judge at all
Precautions are better
Instead of worrying later
Still, be prepared for everything
Let's pray to the Lord,
To let all is well in the future
And let the smiles be more real...

Poem 2
Title - Vijay Diwas

Never appreciate doing illegal
As it's the cheapest way to move
To tackle the opponent be legal
Go ahead with the plan to prove

One such incident is Kargil
As it is for Indians, something valuable
Against the Pakistani vigil
Lead to a war which became memorable

Combat for the military posts
In the Kargil cantonment  area
Infiltration by Pakistan hosts
A reason for the war trivia

Safely set up in key location
Infiltrators had a strategic
Shaking a tremor over the nation
India found out the climactic

All thanks to local shepherds group
Helping the military to act
Therewith goodwill formed a coop
Making us react

Operation Vijay set forth
Without any delay
Targeting the movements in north
Moved forward with a relay

July 26, 1999, became the best day
As the country exploded in the joy
The war was a successful relay
Hats of to our army's ploy

The day is called as Vijay Diwas
As we fondly celebrate the victory
Commemorate the warriors as it touches
This really got a place in Indian History!

A/N : Vijay Diwas  means The day of victory!

Title: the best advice a father can give!
Poem - 1

(Taken from letters written by Jawaharlal Nehru, to his daughter while serving a few years in prison)

It is no easy to decide
What is right and What is not

Apply little test
Whenever in doubt

Never do secret
Or do anything to hide

Desire to hide
Means you are afraid

Fear, a bad thing
Unworthy of you

Be brave
All the rest follows

Not be afraid of what we do or say
Work in the sun and in the light

You will grow up a child of the light
Unafraid and serene,

unruffled, whatever may happen
My love and good wishes...

Title: song of God!
Poem - 2

(Lines are meaningfully taken from the famous historical Hindu mythological book of Vyasa - Bhagavad Gita)

Everything happens for a reason
Its a cycle, quietly accept it
Have control over the present
Live it to the fullest

Neither this world
Nor the world beyond
Nor the happiness
For the one, who doubts

The negation of the false
The assertion of the positive truth
Reaches holy land
Ultimate spiritual experience

Love me, serve me
worship me always
Seek me in your heart
Be united with me

At last,
Change is a universal law
Accept it!
