Part 1
Sparthwaite Manor 2 miles outside Hebden Bridge had stood empty for 5 years now. It had been built in the 1860's by one of the ultra wealthy mill owners.
His descendants had fallen foul of the tax man and for the last 5 years the house had been the property of the state.

Andy Lawton had wanted to be a musician for as long as he could remember. The bug had really bitten at the age of 12 when he had been picked to sing the solo ' Oh for the Wings of a Dove' in Mendelssohn 'Hear My Prayer' with the school choir. The applause and praise had him on a high for days and his future was clear.
At 15 he and 3 friends started playing as a group. They all signed up to do GCSE Music in which they all got an A grade followed at 18 by A grades all round at A level.
They wanted to go professional and were prepared for a long slow process. They wanted to be known first and foremost for their music. Any thing else was a happy bonus.
When fame came their way This genuine musicianship was the cornerstone of their popularity. 4 sexy, charismatic ( seriously marketable) young men who made music to set the world tapping it's feet.
Their name and stage persona's came from the BBC series Robin Hood of which they had always been avid fans. In particular they had noticed the powerful magnetic appeal of one of the villains Guy of Gisborne who had become the Sheriff's Master at Arms. Tall Dark Handsome and smouldering moodily in black leather he gave the lad's an image that they wanted to aim for.
The group was named 'Masters at Arms' their costumes black leather, hair was dyed black and black eye-liner ( nicknamed it was said 'Guy liner') was unashamedly worn to add a sinister edge.
They did a few selected covers but 95% of their music was composed by themselves and they always played live, proud of their talent and stating firmly that this was what fans spayed gig ticket prices for.
By the age of 22 the lads were a hit in Britain, the rest of the world, starting with America was to follow.
*****************************************
When it came to the excesses of the rock and roll lifestyle the lads had avoided drugs and too much alcohol no their excess was women. The ladies loved them and they loved to be loved.
Andy's band mates, Peter, Danny and Steve all found serious girlfriends as the novelty of groupies soon wore off. Andy was however not so keen to commit and enjoyed 'sowing wild oats'.
This was not without dilemmas. Andy and his father had always been waited on hand and foot by Mrs Kate Lawton who believed that this was the role of a Wife and Mother.
Mr Lawton had affairs and while she was unhappy about them his wife made no protest because she believed his excuse that one woman was not enough for a man.
