August POV

It's been a few weeks and Joslin is doing fine. she still doesn't remember any of us but she's doing her best to be who she used to be.

"Um aug, it's Monday. Melvianna gets out early today so are you picking her up." she asked peaking her head in my room.

She decided that she wanted to sleep alone since she "Doesn't know me like that"

"Ummmmm yea. and remember your cooking." I say

"Almost forgot." she says leaving

This has been incredibly hard for me and don't mention Mel. she thinks that Jo doesn't love her anymore because Jo doesn't know how to be a mom anymore. so she's kinda awkward around us.

I look at the time and put on my shoes and go downstairs

Joslin is looking in the fridge

"What you looking for" I ask

"What to cook" she says

"You know what to cook" I say

I say that she knows stuff so she will think and maybe it will spark something.

"Yea ok" she says sighing

"I'll be back love you" I say walking out

"Ok" she says looking at me

I sigh and walk outside and get in the car.

I call someone I haven't talk to in a while.

"Mrs. Hill" I say

"August?" She asked

"Yes ma'am" I say

"Long time. I missed you baby" she says

"I missed you too. sorry I haven't called but you know about Jo right?" I asked

"Yea I talked to her. and it's fine I know you thought we hated you. we don't she told us before the accident happened and we didn't believe at first but after hearing that you did all that for her we believe." She says

"Thank you. but Jo isn't really doing better. I mean she's fitting in but she doesn't remember anything. so I was wondering if you can call her siblings to form out here. I know my mom convinced y'all she was ok and she is but I think if she sees y'all she's will be better." i say

"We will be there august.i can't wait to see my baby girls anyway. and you of course" she says

I smile

"Thank you Mrs. hill"i say

"I'll see you baby" she says

"Take care"

"You too son" she says hanging up

I arrive to Mel's school and pick her up.

"Daddy" she says walking to me

"What's wrong mel" I asked

"Is mommy still sad"she asked

"Just a lil mel" I say

"I wish she was happy again" she says

"Don't we all lil mama." I say laughing.

"Comere baby girl" I say

She walks to Mel's and I pick her up and walk to the car

"Mommy loves you. she just need time" I say

"I'm willing to give her all the time she needs I just want mommy back dad"she says

"I do too" I say
