We starting sprinting down the road towards his house, dodging potholes filled to the brim with muddy water along the way. The rain was only getting more and more heavy as we got closer. The smell of the hit tarmac cooling down made me feel nostalgic for the summer.
Vic grabbed his house keys from his bag and attempted to unlock the door, failing to slide the key in the lock multiple times. But eventually we made it and and were finally out of the rain. Part of me was still angry at Vic. I know Rachel would be mad at me right now for 'making up' with him. But I'd rather not be enemies.

The familiar smell of his house filled my lungs as I awkwardly began to walk up the stairs to his room I was still dripping wet so I tried to not get the house to damp. On the wall I noticed an antique clock that read 1.00pm school still had at least 2.5 hours left.

"I'm drenched." I said looking up into his face and I sat down at the end of his bed.
"You should probably put a change of clothes on... Here you can have some of mine." He reached into his drawer to pull out some clothes. He placed them next to me on the bed.
"You can go change in the bathroom if you'd like" he suggested in a warm tone. I decided to go in and get dressed.

My brother's hoodie which I wore was completely drenched so I placed it over the shower curtain rail to let it dry just a little bit. I pulled down my school skirt which scraped against the backs of my legs making me cringe slightly at the rough feeling of it. I patted them dry and put on the black joggers he provided me. They were a bit big around the waist so I pulled them in with a draw string and rolled up the bottom bits near my ankles. She shirt was a dark grey with ACDC written in bold across the top. It was weathered and old but it had character. The smell of it was like fresh laundry and cologne. I stared at myself in the bathroom mirror my hair dripping slightly onto the shirt and floor. I looked like a man. But nothing wrong with that. I took my wet clothes, stuffed them into my bag and went back to Vic's room.

"I'm immensely sorry about today. I overreacted and I just took the anger out on you. None of this is your fault and I hate myself for this." He was lying down on his bed as he explained to me what he was thinking.
"I know, we all make mistakes. It's fine I forgive you" I said softly as I walked over to join him. I sat crossed legged at the foot of the small double sized bed.
"You know what I am worried about though..." I said
"What?"
"The fact that we just FUCKING snuck out of school-" I added

"Oh yeah shit..." He said
"We're gonna be fine right?"I asked searching for reassurance.
"Mhm we will be fine don't worry" he said. It felt like a weight was lifted of my chest.
"Besides, we shouldn't take life so seriously...nobody makes it out alive" he said. That was deep damn...

"Hey you look like me now!" He chuckled
"Go on then stand up and show me your outfit." He raised his hand signaling me to do a twirl.
"Wow I should be a fashion designer, you look amazing" he did a chef's kiss at me as I stood there in his oversized shirt and trousers.
"Mhm totally" I wouldn't want to crush his dreams, incase he was being serious.

I lied down on the bed next to him with about a 30cm distance from eachother. We both were just staring blankly at the ceiling. I looked to my right on his bedside table. It was scattered with all sorts of items ranging from a tiny cactus to some old paintbrushes. In the corner of my eye I spied a sharp looking metal object.

Oh no... It's not is it? I didn't want to make it obvious I was staring so I just glanced from time to time to see if I was really seeing what I thought I was seeing. A razor. It didn't look too blunt either. My heart sank instantly. He was hurting deep inside I could tell. I sat up and looked at him. He opened his eyes to look back at me and I felt his pain. He sat up next to me and smiled at me. Without warning he grabbed an old beanie he was hiding behind his back and pulled it over my head. He tackled me back down on the bed and eventually off the bed..I landed with a thump on the floor, but the soft carpet cushioned my fall. He was laughing so much it was contagious. Grabbing my arms he pulled me back up off the floor as I whipped the beanie of my head and laughed. We sat there laughing for a good minute before I realised how hungry I was.
