The curse of night | A Wings of Fire fanfic

Chapter 1

~Stargazer~

Star flew down to Jade Mountian with Blizzard besides her, she could feel the cold radiating from his scales.

"Remember, stay away from SkyWings, MudWings... Their fine but not too close, and especially SandWings" He said again for the hundredth time. "I know" Star giggled flying closer to him, it was weird, the sun's heat won't hurt her like what the heat of other dragons would. 

Dragons where everywhere when they landed, Blizzard placed his left-wing around Star. Star rolled her eyes but kept moving along. There was a loud scream and a voice "No, I'm not going to hurt— you" Stargazer saw the dragon the other dragons were moving away from.

"SkyWing" Blizzard hissed "Firescales," he growled "Let's go" Star nodded. They walked inside, Star turned her head to look at the SkyWing and saw a dragon wearing a black cape.

Inside the walls were rocky, of course, they were in a mountain.

"Hello! Welcome to Jade Mountain Academy, names?" Greeted a NightWing with a small silver teardrop near her eyes.

"Blizzard, and Stargazer," He said

"Nice to meet you both! Oooo your scales are so pretty! You're a NightWing, right? Or RainWing?" Fatespeaker asked Stargazer.

"Thank you, and yes I'm a NightWing" Star said shyly. "Well, Blizzard your in... Opal Winglet! And Stargazer, your in... Quartz, here's your map and welcome scroll, have a nice first day!" 

Stargazer waved shyly at Fatespeaker and when they were far from her she looked at Blizzard. "Why couldn't we be in the same Winglet?" he huffed "I'll be fine, you should get to know your Winglet, and I'll get to know mine." she reassured him "let's just hope that, that SkyWing isn't a student and that she's not in any of our winglets"

~Sandstorm~

Sandstorm flew with the other SandWings to Jade Mountian "I wonder who'll be in my winglet" said Quill, Quill was Sandstorm's sister. "Hm, whatever happens, we'll et back home quickly, I don't even know why Queen Thorn wants us to be here" Sandstone whined.

Sandstorm rolled his eyes "Come on, new year, new dragons, new school, we'll just have to adapt to it" "Exactly, I always knew you were the most mature out of all of us" Python said grinning.

Sandstorm laughed and did a loop in the air, he always liked making Python look at him. They landed in the entrance, Sandstorm saw a NightWing and an IceWing walk inside, her scales are cool, looks more closer to magenta and a shade of blue than black he thought.

They walked in giving Fatespeaker their names, Python leaned into Sandstorm's side as they walked along the halls. "Python and Storm flying in the s-mfmereffrmrmeffmr!" Sandstone started but Sandstorm muffled the rest.

Python sighed "I'm going to have to be in a different winglet am I?" Sandstorm nodded, he smiled elbowing her playfully "It'll be a fun experience!"
