PRESENT DAY
8 days after the accident.
"So...since your birthday is coming up in five days, we want to do something special for you, we thought we would invite a few people, your room is big enough to fit all of us, so there's no problem" my sister says while brushing my hair while Lola paints my nails.
"It's going to be fun...I'll do your makeup" Lola says brightly like she has not a care in the world, but I know it's false, she's been crying it's obvious by her swollen eyes and red ringed pupils , I followed her into the bathroom yesterday after her visit with me and saw her bawling her eyes out, same with Katie and Jasmine.
"I could bake the cake and make some snacks" Lola says unable to control her excitement.
"I'll help out" my sister volunteers while packing my hair into a pony tail.
"Maybe they'll let us change her out of her hospital clothes...it will be great!" Jasmine says smiling widely.
We were currently having a girls night, complete with food-popcorn, drinks, candy, gummy bears, chocolate chip cookies, m&m's and kit kats (my favorite) and let's not forget soda, movies, pedicures and gossip- just three conscious girls and one comatose girl having fun, very orthodox, nothing fancy.
"And we could invite Reece" Lola says and they all screech "it would be so cute, when he sees you he'll fall in love with you at first sight, we can get mason's mom to make a dress especially for you" she says and smiles at me. "yunno...she wants to come see you, we didn't tell her you were well...she had a fashion show in Paris-Mason told her yesterday when she got back, now she's super pissed at the both of us, we are trying to get your mum to let her see you"
Mason's mum is a very famous designer who owns a very famous clothing line, she loves Lola and treats her like her daughter, she also likes me mostly because I'm Lola's friend and we both like reading the same books and travelling so we bonded very quickly- I was surprised she hadn't come to see me yet, hopefully mum allows her in- I missed GG too.
"Okay...so let's watch the movie" Lola says hopping off the bed, she picks her bag up and turns to my propped up body "guess what movie we're watching?" She says before bringing out her laptop from her bag.
"The notebook!" Jazzy, Katie and I say in unison but she can't hear me so it's just Jazzy and Katie, I'm smiling and they are all smiling and we start watching the movie together.
Just like we used to every time we got together.
