*********************************

The three days off my boss had given me went by more slowly than I'd imagined. During my leave I reviewed my courses and caught up on some subjects on which I had some difficulties. I studied a few chapters from my courses that would be useful for my upcoming exams. But above all: I slept. I allowed myself to get ten hours of sleep every night - without missing a single class in college - thanks to the fact that I didn't have to work at the club at night. So, I didn't mind going to bed at only 9p.m, under my mother's questioning gaze.

Tonight was my last night off and Hoseok had suggested we go out. I had accepted gladly, happy to spend some time with my friend whom I was somewhat neglecting lately.

"Where are you going?" my mother asked me in the doorway.

I had on a white shirt and black pants. I put a bit of eye liner in the corner of my eyes. I usually paid attention to my appearance, but since I was going out tonight, I wanted to do a little more.

"I'm going out with a friend from college. I don't know when I'll be home, but not too late," I replied.

I heard my mother puffing. I frowned turning towards her.

"So, you do a dodgy job, you're never here, and the only time you get a leave, you decide to go out."

Yes, I had warned my mother that my boss had given me these three days off, claiming that I was still only working as a part-time dancer.

"Mom..."

"I'm sick of it. Of your behavior, your secrets. I don't know what to do anymore to get you to trust me and tell me about it, Jungkook..." she said feeling hurt.

I wanted to respond, but she left the room. I bit my lip when I heard her lock herself in her room. My mother was definitely not fooled, and I didn't know what to do so that she would continue to believe me.

"Yo Jungkook! Wow, you dressed up just for me?" my friend laughed.

I greeted Hoseok, thanking him with a smile. Soon we headed for the restaurant. It was more like a kind of fast-food restaurant that served sushi, maki, soup, kebabs and any other food on the go. There were mostly young people like us or older adults. It was very cozy, I couldn't deny it.

Once inside, we sat down at a table for two people. It was the middle of the week; the restaurant was more or less empty. Hoseok smiled at me and grabbed a menu card. I stole it from him, jokingly.

"Hey!"

I quickly chose what I was going to order and gave it back to him. My friend took a look. He took a little longer than I did to pick a meal. Once we made our choices, we called a waiter. We told our order in only a few seconds before the waiter left.

"So, are you stressed out about finals?" He asked me, putting a cashew in his mouth.

"No, not really. I study whenever I have the time. I can't do any more than I already do anyway," I confessed as I shrugged my shoulders.

After a few long minutes of talking, our food arrived. I couldn't help but smile as everything that was put in front of me whetted my appetite.

"Tell me, Jungkook, do you have a girlfriend? No, 'cause I never really see you checking out the girls at school," he asked me.
