On that cold Monday, I arrived at the university and joined Hoseok. He told me about his weekend: he had been to his grandmother's house in Daegu. I listened to him carefully because I was really interested in his life although it wasn't that exciting. Hoseok was a real, genuine person, and I loved him for that. But most of all, he liked me for who I was, even though he didn't know my job outside of class. Sometimes I wondered what his reaction would be if he found out that I could be sent to jail for several years because of this job.
However, I was a bit nervous today because I had to skip school this afternoon, to go to that girl's university, Sungra; so I can get some information from her about Hanseul. My boss and the manager of the warehouse would come with me. My classes usually ended at 6:00 p.m., but the girl would probably finish around the same time as well. So I had no choice but to skip them to make sure I would find her.
The thing is... I didn't say anything to Taehyung. He had sent me a message in the morning asking me what time I would go out of class, and I wanted to do well, I wanted to succeed in this so important mission so bad, that I had lied to him and told him that my classes ended at noon. He told me that he would pick me up directly at the university to make things faster and take me home so I can change my clothes before going to the warehouse. I hoped he wouldn't find out about my small lie, even it wasn't that big of a deal after all.
"Where are you going...?" Hoseok asked me, confused to see me leaving the auditorium so soon.
"I have an important appointment. Sorry to leave you like that... Can you send me the lessons tonight?"
He frowned. He looked really annoyed.
"Okay... " he sighed upset.
I gave him a small smile and left, feeling the teacher's heavy stare on me. It was one o'clock, Taehyung should've arrived by now. I walked out of the building and out of the college and saw him behind the gates. He was standing in front of his car, eating a sandwich. I walked up to him and he looked at me with a serious look on his face. He was already focused on the mission.
"Hello, sir."
He replied with his usual nod, and I saw him detailing me with his gaze from top to bottom. I blushed when I realized that he had never seen me in a school uniform. Strangely enough, his gaze lingered on my university crest. I pursed my lips.
"Let's go," he simply said.
I was about to get in the car when I heard someone calling me.
"Jungkook!"
I suddenly froze.
Oh no.
"What are you-"
"I knew it!" He exclaimed, frowning.
Taehyung stood next to me, looking at my friend curiously.
"You're skipping school to go dancing? Seriously?" Hoseok sighed, out of breath.
He must have been running to follow me. I trembled slightly, a wave of adrenaline flooding over me as the seconds went by. How was I going to get out of a situation like this?
I felt the burning look of the brunette on me. He just found out that I had lied to him. Was he gonna be mad about it? I looked down and played with my fingers ashamed and suddenly wanting to disappear to avoid the two pairs of eyes staring at me right now.
