Not expecting any less, Jak and Daxter won the race with record time. His approach to this was a lot better then mine from last night. Without a second thought I walked on the track as since I was one for the crew. Or shall I say, krew's crew. He drove his way back to the garage and I followed on foot since we weren't too far from it. Keira was dragged by Samos back to the hang out so I guess I had my time alone with him.
Walking in, I already saw Jak fixing any loose bolts. A check up was always needed on it because it was always getting shot at. "When did you step in?" Jak asked, focusing his attention on his car still.
"Just got here." I muttered, stepping closer to him. "Ya' need anything?"
"No, just finishing up." He stood up, wiping his forehead and flexing his fingers. "Y'know, that win wasn't just dedicated to Keira."
He made me smile as I opened my mouth to say something as something shoved me from behind. I staggered forward to land on Jak as he spun to open his arms and catch me. "Move, you filthy rodent." A man wearing a red nightgown but it was actually a red fur coat. "My, my. I finally get to meet the great racer, Jak!" He said, then taking less then a second to look at me to completely disregard me. "And his sidekick." Whatever. "Jak, Jak, Jak, your reputation precedes you. Oh, but I'm forgetting my manners. My name is Razer. Maybe you've heard of me? I work for Mizo... Eventually, everyone does." He waved around his cigar, puffing smoke at me occasionally to agitate me. It was working.
"We're from out of town." He stopped him right there.
"Yes, you are, aren't you? And you're showing my boys up on the track out there." He laughs. "Don't make me put on my goggles and show you how it's done!" Giving himself a laugh and puffed at me again, causing me to cough out the nasty breath of his. "You wouldn't live long enough to see me cross the finish line." He turned to me to try and puff it again, resulting in me to grab it and stomp on it. "You really are a rat, stealing my belongings and littering." He already pulled out another, but puffing it away from me finally. "Oh of course, you're the late racer. What's wrong? Didn't qualify for the Grand Cup?"
"I just had a sudden change of heart." Mocking his mannerisms and flailing my hands around as well to burn him further.
He scoffed in disgustment, tapping his cigar and getting rid of the ash on the butt. "I'll be careful, little girl. Just because I'm not in your races doesn't mean I can't harm you."
"Pick on someone your own size." Jak stopped him, earning a glare.
"That's not the issue, he needs to pick on someone in his league." I set my hand in the air and lowered it below the belt. "Which is no where near me."
He didn't react. He took a drag of smoke and spoke while the puff was following his words. "Goodbye you two, make sure you give the precursors a kiss when you die on the track." Razer walked out already leaving us steaming.
"It's almost time to go to your race, if you pull up the car, I'll take a look at it." Jak pointed to the switchboard as I nodded.
