Jin's pov
"Dad! Dad!"
"Yeah?"
"I got an A for Chemistry!"
"Oh is that so... Well maybe you could get an A+ next time."
"Ahh... Yes Dad."
My conversation with dad always flowed like that, no matter what I accomplished it never seemed enough for him. How much higher do I need to go for him to acknowledge me?
I walked back to my room and plopped onto the bed, maybe I won't be able to fly, I won't ever reach whatever he wanted me to. I stretched my hands up. No Jin, you can do it, just a little more.
Just a little more?
How much is a little more? It's always 'a little more' since the beginning. I guess that's just my fate, that's just the truth. The truth I won't be able to accept. Is it so hard for him to acknowledge me?
Thinking about this won't make any change, I need to take action! Everyday I studied, and studied and studied. I strived to be the best, I worked hard in order to be accepted by my dad. I did, I really did.
"Jin you could do better."
"This isn't your best is it?"
"Try harder next time?"
"Why isn't it perfect?"
I lightly laughed as I pushed my hair back, why do I even try.
"Wahhh... Hyung your grades are so high, even higher than Jimin hyung's voice."
Everyone bursted at how Taehyung commented on Jimin's voice.
"Hmm I think I could do better."
"Ehh I guess you could do better, but that doesn't change the fact that you work hard." He said looking up at the sky.
"You're right, I did work hard..."
"Really hyung~" Jungkook said in a teasing tone.
"Yah!! Of Course! Come here you little punk!"
I don't have to be the best, dad doesn't need to acknowledge me, at least someone knows I tried.
