Azami Senju

Chapter XV: The Invasion

Feathers began falling around the arena, recognizing this as a genjutsu I quickly canceled it, "Kai!"

I saw a few others doing the same just as we were attacked by Suna and Oto shinobi. I engaged one in a quick taijutsu battle before shunshining behind him and punching the back of his head with a chakra infused fist. The second one I took out with a kunai to the head, went straight through the eye and into the brain. A third used a wind style that I quickly dodged and sent him my own jutsu, heavenly weeping, he got quite a few water senbon to the face and I quickly ran over and stabbed him through the heart, ending him.

I vaguely heard Kakashi order a few of the others to go after Sasuke, he also told me to go but I simply told him, "I'm sure they'll handle it just fine, I have something I need to do anyway."

I glanced at the roof where I could sense Hiruzen and Orochimaru battling it out, with a high level sealing barrier surrounding them.

I quickly teleported outside the barrier and told the surrounding ANBU, "You can't help him right now, this barrier is only able to be undone if one of those four are incapacitated in some way. You should go help fight off the invasion, I can help him."

The (seemingly) commander looked at me and (probably, couldn't see under his mask) narrowed his eyes, "And just how exactly would you do that?"

"By teleporting." I replied simply as I disappeared in a silver flash, reappearing beside Hiruzen just in time to send a chakra infused kick at Orochimaru's face.

"Azami! What are you doing here, you need to get out! Orochimaru is too strong for you!" Hiruzen exclaimed, surprised by my sudden appearance.

"Kukuku, and who might you be? That jutsu you just used seems awfully familiar, little girl."

"Azami. And I would be surprised if it wasn't, Orochimaru." I introduced.

"Just Azami? No surname?"

"Yup, and here I thought it was obvious when I introduced myself without a surname, that maybe, just maybe, I didn't have one. Guess not."

Orochimaru seemed not to have found that one quite as funny as I did and attacked. I wordlessly allowed Hiruzen to fight him before soundlessly jumping in and touching his shoulder for a split second before all three of us backed off. He began some handsigns and when he finished  some wooden coffins with familiar chakra that I couldn't quite recognize began rising from the ground.

Right before the last one could finish Hiruzen yelled, "Azami!"

"Hai!"

And I teleported beside Orochimaru and took out my katana and made a large cut in his side, effectively stopping the jutsu and causing the third coffin to slide back down into the ground. Though Orochimaru still seemed quite smug with just the two coffins, and I soon found out why when they began shaking a bit and the fronts slid off. Right at that moment I recognized the chakras that I couldn't make out before.

Otou-san and Oji-san.

"What the hell is this jutsu?! How are they kinda alive but also not?" I asked.

"It is known as Edo Tensei, the reanimation jutsu. Tobirama-sensei created it a year after your disappearance, convinced you were dead and attempted to bring you back. It didn't work and he was pretty much histeric for a few days after with the idea you were still alive and he couldn't sense your chakra. I think he sent atleast a hundred shinobi to find you before Hashirama and I managed to convince him to stop."

"I deny that such a thing occured." I heard Otou-san say.

That was the first thing I heard him say in months (technically years). I almost cried, I hadn't realised how much I missed him. But I clenched my teeth and held my head high as I reappeared beside Hiruzen.
